Dilli abhi door hai!
I don't know if they will actually shift to Delhi or not, but RV truly won Chintu's dad's heart, who blessed him as a son the way he yearned to be able to bless his own. Chintu's dad in turn is a sort of father figure to RV, whose goodwill and opinion are very important to him, especially because of RV's feelings for Happy and his growing rivalry with Rocky/Shaan.
That sequence gave me major Tum Bin vibes. It reminded me especially of the scene where Piya talks to her father about her dilemma of being unable to come to terms with the fact that Shekhar was the reason behind Amar's death yet he was the one who stood by her and her family every time and truly became one of their own. To which her father wisely says that Shekhar had suffered far more (at the hands of his guilty conscience) and had done far more than his fair share of penance since Amar's death.
If anything, this show's "storyline" turning in that direction seems to to be the only way that RV would ever be redeemed, love story or not. I don't think this PH has the ability to deal with such concepts in a mature and sensible manner but I won't be surprised if they have taken heavy doses of inspiration from the movie.
RV hasn't killed a person, rather he has killed the hopes and dreams of everyone in Rocky's family. All he is doing to help them, and especially Happy will have to count for something even after the truth is out. At least, that's the impression I got from today's scene.
The CVs are keeping all options open and TRP + their brainwaves will dictate if they ever go this route.
