Okay, I finally saw the ME, as well as Monday's & Tuesday's episodes. Really, they were good. A whole bunch to say about everything that's going on.
First of all, this new PH is pretty good about the story, and not dragging it. Also, I previously thought that after accepting the exits of Harshad & Sriti, they would either redeem Viraj or switch to glorifying him altogether, but that's not happened 👏 Instead, Ananya is now bringing justice for Jhanvi. Who'd have thunk it - I thought that they were going to sweep Viraj's past crimes under the rug. Instead, they've recalled everything that made Viraj successful - Uniyal for instance, but they've not lost track of his crimes, and have decided to bring that back to life via Ananya.
So in the ME, Viraj manages to stalk Ananya and get her to his haunted mansion, but this time, they've given some of Viraj's magical powers to Ananya. Yeah, I'd rather if nobody were Superman, but if Viraj can just appear on Ananya's sofa the next day, Ananya too can disappear just like that, or produce a telecast exactly @ 7:00pm before Viraj cuts up Nidhi. And again, the moment he discovers that Swati was Ananya, he magically puts Nidhi back to Ananya's home? Surreal, but I think the new CVs have decided to skip the 'hows' of everything, and just keep hitting 'NEXT'!
And continuing on Ananya's run of luck, where it had previously been always either Viraj or Raghav, somehow Viraj doesn't look behind the mirror when he's checking his room? This is their way of illustrating how Viraj doesn't recognize Jhanvi's heart? 😆 I actually liked Viraj's sadistic punishment of himself - walking barefoot on broken glass. What were the beer bottles they used here - I thought I spotted Fosters, Carlsberg, Bud and a couple of Kingfishers. And why is Unniyal protesting @ this torture - had I been him, I'd be gleefully enjoying it. And incidentally, how does it even make sense that Unniyal, after doing his jail time where he asked not to be put w/ Viraj, is now back w/ him? Or am I the moron for asking? 😆
So Ananya splashes Viraj's real story, or at least a part of it to the media, and really pisses off Viraj. He knows that she has Jhanvi's heart, so can't really do anything to her, since he wants Jhanvi's heart to live. At least, he can stop trying to cut up Nidhi. And like before, Mrs Ghosh, like Gayatri before her, likes Viraj, and so it's up to Ananya to expose her, just like Raghav/Sia forced Viraj to make a misstep that turned Gayatri against him.
Speaking of which, in last night's episode, they showed the feminists who were gathered in Ananya's office, and I really enjoyed one of them slapping Viraj and then narrating her daughter's tale of woe. So suddenly, Ananya has made Viraj the poster boy for all abusive hubbies 🤣 What a time he chose to crash their meeting 🤣 And it ends w/ him throwing Ananya a challenge, so now we have the Dobryal vs the Ghosh 😆
Actually, for this feminist meeting, I wish Uma and Gayatri too were there. In fact, Uma knows that Jhanvi's heart has gone to Ananya Ghosh, so I do hope that when Ananya is doing a prep for her live interview, she would have had a chance to meet Uma and know from her that her donated heart was actually Jhanvi's, and that she's living thru her. Once she knows that, she won't have any secrets, and then hopefully, she can bulldoze Viraj on prime time TV.
One thing I'm wondering - while Raj is all hooked on Ananya, she doesn't seem to care much for him, and indeed, if she ever marries him, she'd just walk over him. For that reason, I'm glad they introduced Nidhi - was it Ananya's cousin, as I thought she mentioned? Anyway, I think that Nidhi would be a better girl for Rajinder than Ananya. Of course, Ananya hates Viraj, but hypothetically, if they were married, I can see Ananya doing to Viraj exactly what he did to Jhanvi. But Jhanvi was right - nobody deserves a hubby like Viraj (actually, some do, but they're in other serials 😆), so I hope Ananya really reduces Viraj to rubble and then brings peace to the survivors, like Uma, Gayatri and so on. In that way, the new PH has brought the focus back to women's issues, but via a more effective medium of Ananya, as opposed to 'Sia'.
