I actually think that w/ a new PH, the show can now go in a new direction completely, and can shed the old pretense of being about DV.

Hm, it already did shed its old pretense a long time ago, but more officially with the "all new beginning" promo. I don't think that a new PH can salvage the show. Had it been any other show that didn't raise the issue of domestic violence, then yeah, the makeover might work.
But SB? pretended to be a voice of victims for ten months. It hit a certain target group; one that started falling away, especially post leap.
If they want to hit a new target audience with a new direction completely, then they need to change the name of the show as well as the name and history of the characters. Because as people watch, they still relate the show to abuse and vicimhood and morals and so on.
In my opinion, the creatives as well as the channel failed the show, its characters, and the actors. More so, they failed victims of abuse. Somehow that's a lot worse.

As long as the old PH was there, people were justified in haranguing them over letting down victims of DV. But now that you have a new PH in that was never committed to such an agenda, they owe nothing to DV victims or viewers. Actually, had UTV after Viraj's first arrest made a PSA and stated that from that point on, the show is no longer about DV, that would have been better. Suggested tracks, be it either Jhanvi's recovery or Viraj's treatment would have done squat to sustain any interest.

The name of the show is a freaking joke! It seemed to come alive the day Sia gave her bhashan about saubhagyavati & all that, but after that tirade against not Viraj but marriage, it's just hilarious to see her putting so much value on her precious maang being filled. But I can remember one serial - BAVD on Imagine TV - where the PH changed, they decided to do a leap and a bulk of the characters left, so they had just a couple of new ones, the lead and continued w/ it for a while. In this case too, a new PH may take the decision to, say, off Viraj altogether, resume Raghav-Sia and then see if new characters can be introduced to make the plot interesting again - for a new demographic of course. That would give it a very different flavor, and a whole new direction.

Incidentally, anyone know what's the name of the new PH?

Thanks for wonderful update.
After HC leaving the show I do not know PH will replace him or he will die in the show. But I am sure in both case PH will not be ablr to pull the show for long with only few characters.

No show can run with only few characters and this show never pay attention to story line or other characters and CVs and Channel never realized that or they did not wanted to pay attention to it.
If this is new PH then they will have face problem with money so I am not sure how many new character they will be able to introduce.
At least show is safe until TRP comes back. But I do not care what type of TRP this show will get. I watch this show for my favorite and as soon as heleaves I will say Tata bye bye to this show also.

But it wouldn't change the fact that the creative head remained -- the man who did, in fact, commit himself to it being a voice against abuse and "Jahnvi ki kahani". In that sense, it'd still seem weird to me if the show changed direction entirely at the "creative" hands of the same writing team. Which it kind of has, as of late. And audiences haven't received those changes very well.
Furthermore, I believe that the PH changing won't do shit for the show because the issue seems to lie with the writing team that doesn't know how to introduce strong and sensible tracks or how to execute them in writing. It's one big mess. On one hand, they're hellbent on retaining certain characters and the Thriller theme. On the other hand, they've been running the show typical soap opera style.
Maybe they should start by figuring out what they want from their own show.
The new PH doesn't have a name so far. The guy who runs it used to be a part of Swastik Productions or something along those lines, and decided to open his own PH.
Yeah, agreed on the title of the show part. It was moments like the one where she flipped out in front of everyone that made me think that the show would finally get back on track. Fooled me once. Fooled me twice. I remember writing in the episode feedback that she'd blamed society more for what V had done rather than held V responsible as a man who'd chosen to do her wrong. Which kind of bugged the hell out of me.

Only PH has been change. I saw same names for Creative team, writers in credits so I do not think story will change. I think only set of this show got change.

Most probably, yeah. I wonder why Vikas Seth would take up this show as his first project when his PH is all new. Shaky investment, I'd say. The TRPs weren't exactly skyrocketing the last time they were updated.

Thanks for sharing ...they completely dragged entire crap only to decide whether they need to kill viraj to rescue krish 😡 starting wid sia have no words to say how disgusting she was yest 🤢 (particularly her patni dharm and stuff 😕) and i can't stand her at all 🥱 gayatri she seems to bring her "sachayi and principles" only when she feels like using it 🤣 that too for selected things 😆 from all this artificial crap felt only the part where viraj was pretending to be dead was real ...kvb rocked ..for a moment he made us believe that he was dead ...loved his painting on the wall and it is viraj who still makes me follow this dumb show ...reg precap good to see tashu doing something different 😆 it somehow got a touch of originality she used to have in her character before ...

Yeah, if you recall, that was my main beef w/ her tirade that day as well. She said almost nothing about Viraj, but just went on her tirade against society for expecting her to stay in such a marriage. Hello, come again? Who (except Viraj) ever asked her to stay within that marriage? Gayatri, when she learnt about her, promised her full support, and so did Raghav, Tashu, Komal... Who else was left? Her parents had no clue as to what was on, but once they did, they too urged her to divorce him. In the past, she was supported by Mrs Awasthi and then the ashram ladies. Even the cops - who have been depicted in this serial as either incompetent, corrupt or now downright thugs - supported her for that time. Who exactly was she ranting against?

I don't mind feminist characters in shows, but I do expect some consistency in character. If a girl has the opinions that Sia expressed in that tirade, the last thing I expect of them is of them to cherish their sindoor & maang. That's something one associates w/ more conservative women, who don't give much of a value on this. It would have made sense for Jhanvi during the early part of their marriage, but after that, if she indeed lost her faith in it, which is understandable, it does not make sense that she'll cherish it or its symbolisms, like maang & sindoor.
