The sad childhood will be introduced to present V as someone to sympathize with. Honestly, not even all serial killers have a sad childhood. There's one such case in which the killer had a perfectly normal childhood -- except for the part that he liked to take dead animals, head to the woods, and dissect them. Which later turned into sexual fantasies. Then him exercising those fantasies on humans.
That's just evil. Plain and simple. They can give V the worst childhood ever, it still won't change the monster that he chose to become and that he deserves punishment, not treatment. Not anymore.

As far as to what i have seen and heard, all of Sriti's previous shows gave full justice to her talent...its only this show which is compromising on the role of all the characters including the female lead just to accomodate the evil...i too wonder why Sriti is still doing the show...n the same goes to Harshad as well...both of them have done extremely well in their previous shows and are very much capable of getting much better than this...

I have never said V is not important for the show but i feel they over exposed him and at his expense compromised othe characters and even story line ... and now V the character itself has reached a dead end ... only way could have been redemption but he is beyond redemption now, which ever way one looks at it!!!

Viraj's role is done & dusted - just like Yuvraj's was when he got arrested. There's nothing left for KVB to do - he should have simply walked, instead of entering into any negotiations. Sriti should do the same. If she is under any contract, give whatever notice she needs to give and exit it. I doubt that she is really tied, since she was a lead before on at least 3 of her 6 shows to date. And if she could leave Jyoti, she can leave this.

Anyway, I'm hoping that she leaves sooner rather than later. Take a break of whatever she likes, and then come back in a better show.

Contracts, Tweetie. They can't leave until their contracts run out. Meanwhile, the writers can back out of any commitments they've made to Harshad-Sriti, but the actor/actress cannot do the same.

It might be the dark side in me wanting this, but at this point I just want her to walk out and leave the show to crash to its death. The writers deserve no less for how they've cheated her and every other character on the show. Every single one. With the exception of V who, for some reason, keeps getting what he wants.

Yup contracts are important also if for some actors this is their bread and butter then they have to think about a lot of things ... they might still quit a show but they will have to consider how quitting will effect their future career ... like you quit ... what if the channel bans you? What if the entire network bans you? What if PH are reluctant to take you? I feel to quit, you need to have either another career plan or something to fall back on ... its not so simple specially for those for whom acting is a full time profession and source of income! And i do think everyone takes advantage of that

I think most contracts do have opt-out clauses, and unless Sriti is in the same boat as HC and has financial commitments, I'm not seeing why she's staying.

HC too - he too could seek out a better show, and fulfill his financial commitments that way.

I agree Ana...i'm sure they have a contractual obligation...or else Harshad n Sriti would have definitely quit this pathetic show by now...

Ideally i would have HC quit this show long back when they backed out on their commitment which HC's last TB article hinted at even though he did not say anything directly but he did mention not having recorded what he was told about the character. But if he can't I do understand his compulsions and being a fan can only support him
