Not desperate for Bollywood: Karanvir Bohra

Not desperate for Bollywood: Karanvir Bohra
Karanvir Bohra
He's hot, he's stylish and he's confident! Karanvir Bohra is one actor who does assignments on his own terms. At a time when his onscreen character Prem (from Kasautii Zindagii Kay) had reached the heights of popularity, Karanvir decided to quit the show after a three year successful run.

When he decided to sign on Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava, the show once again rose to popularity with Karanvir playing the main lead who is a negative character. Just when things were going great on the show's front, the makers decided to take a seven year leap, something that Karanvir is not pleased about, "I respect the decision to take a leap but it's not something I'm happy out. I always see things in black and white. You can't playa round with a character."

So where does this leave the actor who has not currently signed on any projects? "I don't know what's next. People get insecure in this industry but I'm not insecure. Can you imagine I left Kasautii at its peak! Who does that?"

So is Bollywood the next step? "I'm not desperate for Bollywood. It will happen when it has to".

Luckily, the actor has a lot of support in terms of his family and wife, "Both Teejay and my parents are extremely supportive. My parents also tell me that if not this, something else will come up. Both I and Teejay are very spiritual so that also helps. For the past ten years I've been practicing Yoga and doing my kriyas and meditation".

Fans will surely miss Karanvir till a new project comes up.

Wish him all the best that is if he is leaving ... i feel V will go missing from the show for a week or two and then we will have an article after article "back on demand" ... always happens this way 😆 But what I do find a bit funny is his fans are happy with his decision because they feel his char is not getting right treatment (despite maximum screen space) Actually they were the ones who were happy with leap news the most and it were us the RaghavI fans who were totally upset with the news of a leap because we really can't see any purpose for the leap except to bring V back in focus, the focus he was bound to loose once Sia got a divorce and by focus i don't mean screen space (that Viraj always has plenty) but the link to the story.

May be he is leaving for real if so good luck to him and its true when one door closes another one opens

Looking forward to the show and being a RaghavI fan i still wish leap does not happen

Returning after few weeks under the banner 'back on demand..' is always possible in indian television shows.
He will be back if shows didn't get expected TRP or in case CVs trying hard to write a script without Viraj.
Even in Kis Desh HC was brought in after few days 'on demand..' only. even though his exit is planned only by CVs, same CVs brought him in only on demand. He is a lead there. More probably we are his fans so we didn't find any harm in his return.
So same thing is possible here also.
KB fans were happy about leap becasue they thought (including me) some justice will be done to Viraj as he is too much in love with Jhanvi. but KB's exit shows there is nothing done to Viraj and he is fed up with repetative actions. We also fed up with repetative secenes. So as an actor he has his own thought about the show.
So its not fans or actors fault. Cvs who killed Viraj track. They rushed some parts without proper explanation.
Just because HC got full focus i'll not say KB exit is good. same thing will happen to Raghav tomorrow. Curretly CVs lost track. They need to do lot of work to bring back the story on track. Its hard to digest at this point. surely all of you think me as anti HC fan.
Just think about the track of the show keeping KB, HC aside. all will understand the truth.
Its my POV.

The difference between Prem and KB is HC did not leave the show Prem's character was taken out of the show ... here KB himself is leaving ... so unless its not a publicity stunt "back on demand" won't make sense because he himself is not happy with the show and hence wants to leave, so TRPs or anything else does not come into play because actor himself does not want to continue nor most of his fans want him to, which was not the case with HC as Prem, he was happy with the show and did not want to leave it either, the fans of the show and jodi did not want him to leave and they went crazy!!! HC always knew his role would be shot lived, BT had offered him another show, he knew what he was getting into when he signed desh, HC only made sure he left a mark in that serial in whatever time he gets, rest was history and fan craze!!! Sso how does this even remotely compare to the present situation with KVB?

HC getting focus or not is not the issue here, even now he is hardly ever the focus, problem is compromising story and characters to accommodate one, even now if you notice everything Raghav Sia is rushed take the example of divorce scene how rushed it was that was Sia's biggest moment that scene was the essence of the "voice against domestic violence" and they just finished it all in 3-4 minutes in a manner that looked like they wanted to get rid off it and be over with, where as viraj scenes in hospital were again stretched. My problem with this show is not focus on HC or Sriti or KB my problem is equal treatment of all characters and if you ask me by over exposing Viraj's character in the end they have done most damage to his own char only not to Raghav not to Sia or anyone else. I want them to show the story in a way where Sia's story is not compromised for the sake of someone's screen space specially when doing that has damaged Viraj's char itself. Whether anyone admits or not but double viraj and joker scenes may have been liked by fans from acting POV but fact remains they did damage his character and made it a joke of some sort, were those scene needed in the story? Answer is NO they were done only to give screen space! Its the RIGHT BALANCE which they failed to achieve in my opinion and it goes for all characters not just my favorite ones!

And i no where said I am happy with him leaving but if he really is (which i doubt) then its his decision and he must have taken it in his best interest. For me being a RaghavI fan though show does not end with it!

Nothing more can be done about V. Redemption is out of the question unless the CVs want to do some serious damage in relation to moral messages and victims. Plus his character's been established as black -- redemption would make no sense.
They could make him completely insane or completely sinister, but then again -- been there, done that. In fact, V has been over-explored and in a short time, so nothing can surprise me anymore. It seems to me that his character is at a dead end. The previous redemption tracks didn't sell. All that is left of V now is his style. Which is sad, really. But then maybe the writers should have refrained from glorifying him and over-exploring him beyond their own creativity.
Sometimes less is more.
But like Nads, I believe this is a publicity stunt. Maybe to put pressure on the writers. Happens all the time. Showbiz is showbiz.

Glad KV quiting as VD reached dead end, he took an out of out negetive role which other actors cant even think about . If this is publicity stunt then it shows how cvs always dependent on VD and more importantly on KV rather then others.

i agree with KVB and I really respect him for this decision. I do not like leaps which are meant to drag the story or destory it or gain TRP's. At this point it is not at all desired. I am a big time Raghavi fan and I can't see them ageing when their story just got started. Can't they focus on positivity? With KVB leaving, if the leap does occur, Viraj will probably return with plastic surgery and that will be spoiling the story officially!
I hope the leap does not happen. I really do.

They did, indeed. They became all but obsessed with V. But the relationship between KVB and the writers has always been a give-and-take. He made the show popular, but the show also made him.

Yes they gived KV script to perform but no one can deny the acting and charishma of KV that made VD and SB so popular.

No one has, as far as I know. Everyone seems to agree that KVB did a fantastic job with the character of V. But it's just that one can't deny that the writers deserve credit for their part in his success as well. The characterization of V was penned down flawlessly from the start.
