i think the story will be the same..like viraj coming out of the jail again to torture raghav-jhanvi again.. but this time his actions will b more powerful..uff
they should show something different like viraj getting treated..other-wise the leap will be a waste for sure !

what if the story didn't work-out after the leap also..wait ..i know..i know..
thr will b 14 yr leap..

seriously the story had much potential to to create history but now..it's going hay-wire..

Period

i don't think people are maybe considering all of the possibilities that can come along with the leap... i mean i personally would not opt for a leap because i love the way the show is shaping right now but with a leap it can be really interesting to watch how all of the things that are left unsaid right now will unfold through series of long flashbacks etc. It's not like we'll lose the young krish too...like i bet he'll be grown up but the flashbacks can always bring him back too? yash as an actor won't be entirely gone... and I would just like to say trust the creatives here...they are the writers after all! people are so worried about viraj-jhanvi coming back together, but there could also be a huge possibility for raghav-sia as well. i'm cool with whatever the creatives do and i don't watch this show for the sake of a lovestory...i watched it soley for Jhanvi and now Sia. it's HER journey, and we're just going to have to see where she goes 7 years for now which honestly is really exciting for me! plus after viraj is in jail and fully exposed there's really not much to show besides a raghav-sia lovestory...and the show will kind of slow down in terms of all of the suspense etc. so a leap is understandable!
however, i really would like to see sia grow episode by episode rather than seeing her in a leap...but oh well let's see with the creatives have in store! hopefully jhanvi, singh family, priya, and all of the people V has messed with get justice done!

Small screen shows take a big leap
Bade Achche Laggte Hain

Tellytown's prime time dailies are gearing up their shows to give a new story to their viewers. While Bade Achche Laggte Hain rose on the TRP charts after the big leap showing Priya shifting to Dubai with her daughter Pihu, other shows such as Parichay - Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Kaand Main Laxmi Tere Aangan Kihave also taken a leap.

But if you thought that it was only these shows who took the big leap, you're wrong. Viewers can anticipate a change in storyline with multiple twists as a few other shows also plan to take a leap. The shows which are possibly gearing up for a leap include Dil Se Di Dua...Saubhagyavati Bhav?, which plans on a seven-year leap and Hitler Didi. Dipping TRPs or change in the viewership pattern or just a general progression of the story, the reason for the leap can only be clarified by the producers. But one thing is sure - the audience can expect a lot more drama post the leap in these shows..

One thing I'm not getting about leaps - be it this one, or ones that take place in other serials.

In most leaps, what I've noticed is that everybody except the leads are gone, and the leads are usually back, albeit in another role. But in most of the cases, the supporting cast is not the one responsible for low TRPs, since their role is pretty peripheral to the story. In the case of this serial, it's not like people were bored w/ Gayatri, Komal, Tashu, Krish or anyone else. People - regardless of whether they followed Viraj, Raghav or Jhanvi - were bored either w/ the storyline, or w/ the coverage of one or more of the 3 characters.

So what exactly is a leap achieving? Getting rid of some of the characters? That could happen easily - if Jhanvi were to move back to Manali, automatically the Singh family would be gone. If she stays in Gurgaon, her own family would be gone - which ain't much different from the last few months. The only time I've seen leaps make some sense is when you have child actors, and things get to a point where their next action is as adults, and so they are replaced w/ some major actors, in a bid to continue the story, and boost ratings.

But here, none of the 3 - Jhanvi, Raghav, or Viraj are likely to be replaced. If they kill off Viraj to account for KVB's exit, then no leap is needed - the story can simply continue like normal. If they were to hypothetically take Jhanvi back to Manali & lose Raghav, there too, no leap would be needed. Unless to magically show Viraj miraculously 'cured' after years of treatment, and Jhanvi also rehabilitated. But if they were to bring them back together, it would be a terrible social message.

So I'm still trying to figure out what a leap achieves. I've not read anything that explains this satisfactorily.

Once the queen of shows in television industry said that leap is to bring freshness to the story. When a story comes to a stagnant point from where CVs finds difficult to take the track further, they will introduce leap. After the leap some characters are shown grown up and some disappears. The characters from the point where the leap takes can be allowed to enter later if they want twist to increase TRP. Leads will be there either together or separated.

Leap will add some more viewers who hated the previous part. In SB there will be loss of viewers also. When the show started many started watching it with the hope to find solution for DV. Already Sia got divorce and soon she will get married to Raghav. Those watched to see what happens to Jhanvi will either quit or watch the show randomly. Speciality of first part is that, watched by entire family. After the leap there will be another set of viewers will join to see the love track of Raghav and Sia. Surely there will be some twist to make the show interesting. Possibility of male / female Villain entry, In-laws politics based on TRP.

I'm not talking about fans of any particular actor/actress in the show. I'm talking only about daily soap watchers (sitting in front of the TV from the 7 to 11PM). They are the contributors of points to TRP.
