The joker isn't necessary at all . OCPD people don't even act like that . I don't think Viraj is a OCPD patient only - he is a Sociopath. The audience has to be shown Viraj's full nauture. Though I agree the example of joker in DV related show has been disturbing. They've made a complete joke out of this ! I don't care if KVB is a good actor, in my view, whatever has been happening lately, is really goofy, especially with Viraj's character . They've ruined it for good ! As soon as Sia slapped Viraj & said all those things to him, that's where Viraj should have at least done something, not act more & more crazy . Everyone is born with a conscience, but people just like to take advantage of these kinda things & act like they don't know what the hell is the differrence between right & wrong .
No matter how many confrontations and slaps Sia throws at Viraj... He will never learn.

Yea, sociopaths are untreatable & incurable, because it's in their blood, it's what they grew up learning, it's what they grew up doing, but I believe in miracles . Watch Criminal Minds ! You'll see how low people can go ! Why do I feel like this show is copied off from a cartoon show now ? 😆

Not all criminals are sociopaths. If the criminal is a sociopath... then as we evidently know - the are untreatable.
Raghav's family was not needed in the show . It makes no sense whatsoever .
I think they they are needed - bec we need some light in a heavy hearted show. What the CV's are doing is not utilising the characters well. The only character that is useless at the moment is Tashu.

& I think we all know how Viraj & Raghav are similar ! Lol !

We cannot say anything about Viraj's past, because nothing has been revealed to us yet .

I have to disagree thou . I think any guy can play Raghav's role, but Viraj ? Only KVB !

Yes there are other actors whom could also play this role. But HC probs does it better than any one else would have.
I don't feel that Viraj is an OCPD patient either...well not anymore . Thanks to CV's ! lol.

Don't care about Raghav-Sia marriage ! As if we don't see stuff like this in Indian dramas ! 😆

It is a hope ... A ray of light - of how to move on again.. how to trust and love again.
Just want them to end the show asap !

Watching joker is ok when we were kids, but not in a show where it deals with DV & OCPD . It doesn't get in the head ! Agree...

Thank you Aya for thy reply.. my reply in the red.

Hia! Great to see you again too. We felt this show was too stressing for Anu - buh it has been stressful for us too.

The Cvs have put themselves in a spot. Their idea of the second lead that would give a second lease of life to the show simply did not take off. The primary reason is that they made Raghav similar to Viraj. Haunted by past and full of psycho hang ups. Raghav should have been a sunshine character. Infusing oxygen to the show. He did not do that.He and his family added a pall of gloom to the already heavy atmosphere.
I think the forcus of Raghav will come in a while... and SB has a theme of mystery and I think they wanted to do the same with Raghav too. Recently Raghav hasn't been in full action as one expected.. BUT I think with V's sownfall soon.. Raghav will rise.

The less I talk about Sia, the better. She has been portrayed as woman without a mission. A fatal flaw as far as Hindi shows are concerned. We appreciate Heroes or Heroines who think beyond their personal benefit or gratification. Jahnvi was tortured.Yes. But the Cvs could not elevate her status as a martyr. A big mistake.
As you can see - Even I didn't have much to say abt her.

Viraj. The Cvs have a hot potato in their hands. They can't hold him steadily. They can't afford to drop him. Tch..Tcchh..

Love the hot potato dialogue... Couldn't put it better myself.

If the CVs really wanted to show a contrast between Viraj and Raghav then they would have done exactly what you said. Make Raghav the total opposite to Viraj. If the CVs wanted a character that will help Jhanvi through this phase, they should have created a character full of life. Not a character who has his own problems to deal with, thus making him brooding and stern (and boring, might I add!)

Instead, Raghav has way too many similarities with Viraj. How did Jhanvi find solace in him? I don't understand. Now don't tell me because since he's the "good" guy, all his actions will be seen as just. He's done some pathetic stuff and stuff that is strikingly similar to Viraj. How could Jhanvi not make out the difference? 🥱
I think Jahnvi was always understanding of Viraj's personal issues. He crossed the limits by hurting her.
It is good that they have shown Raghav with problems... which shows that two ppl both equally as fearless.. even despite their own problems.. deal with it differently. Viraj used to take his anger out on her and abuse her and blame her. Raghav treats her good, thinks of her pain first.

They only added his family and his backstory to make him a "complex" character, which they failed at. I have said in another topic, adding all these unnecessary stuff to the show to give its side characters some layers brought the show's quality down. They should not be focusing on other characters that bring absolutely nothing to the show.
There was good potential with Raghav's family - I think once Viraj got back into his normal mode - the other characters went out of focus in Raghav's family.
What was the need to add another character who has some kind of depressing backstory when they have Viraj's past? What was the friggin' point? How does another person's backstory regarding someone's death make sense in regards to domestic violence, the concept of this show?
I think DV is just one aspect of the show - although they promoted the show on DV..
Jhanvi or Sia, whatever. She is really quite pathetic. I don't see how survivors of domestic violence will gain any inspiration from her.
She's not inspiring... Just a character to give hope to other victims - that there will be light at the end of their dark tunnel.
As for Viraj, they won't remove him. He is the main asset to this show so I don't think the CVs will try and lessen his importance. He's a character the CVs can do a lot with (and is actually important to the story) but aren't because they are too busy trying to focus on the other characters and their problems/emotions. 🥱

Personally - I don't know what V's future will be ... I'm clueless on that front at the moment. I feel that the focus moving past the joker theme will be on Ragvi and their life ahead. And V might kick in later.

Thank you so much.
True SB has been blessed with these three leads. Especially the male leads of the show.
I think the clarity I was looking for with the show - I have got and from here on I have nothing else left to say.

You certainly put a lot of effort in this research because I just realized many things by just reading this post that I hadn't realized before in the show, like the sociopath thing. Now I realized that you are absolutely correct. V isn't suffering from OCPD or whatever disease he was supposed to have. He's just a sociopath who is using this disease as an excuse! Actually, he's making people believe he has OCPD just to fool them! Another thing is that I like how Raghav isn't portrayed as the "perfect" human being because that would be plain old FALSE! There is no such thing as the "perfect" man or woman, except V who thinks that about himself. So if the CVs showed Raghav with no flaws whatsoever, then how can he save Sia because he himself isn't human?

Again, wonderful post Cari 👏

Thanks dear.. The journey of SB till now has a mind boggling one for me. My own research has helped me put some things straight in my mind.
I think he has been wrongly diagnosed. He is hiding his illness but it's not OCPD. He himself probably doesn't know what it is.
I may be wrong or right.. time will tell... BUT I feel satisfied with this ... and hence it's a closure for me.

Agree with the part too.. I dont expect Jhanvi to be back to Viraj The Dobriyal.. Raghav is perfect for her.. 👍🏼 Fearless and dabang 😆..

Jhanvi or Sia, Viraj-Raghav totally steal the show ! Generally I dont like extreme good or bad characters.. I loved Viraj cuz he was not portrayed as a villain, but he had a grey shade.. Now I think which is totally lost.. They have Viraj 1000% negative to glorify Raghav's goodness..

So atm, none of the characters are gelling well with me.. LOL.. Watching it only for MB and HC !

Thank you dear.
I wanted to know quite badly how and what Viraj was... I feel satisfied knowing what I know. Also knowing he's untreatable - puts into persepective where the other characters are headed.
I have nothing more to analyse or comment on and I felt this made for a nice departure post.
Now it's just abt sitting back and watching... the show.
