And Dexter the character does have his own form of conscience. It's not right but it's no less a dangerous game to play than Vampires. Some people relate to Vampires and commit crimes too.

The thing that I found less harmless about a show like Angel was how they kept the moral intact, i.e. Angel was being punished for his crimes by the Powers That Be. Whenever the character of Angel [or any other character, for that matter] did wrong, they were punished. There was always a consequence. The show put a lot of emphasis on redemption being a thing that wasn't a given, but something that you had to work for. Maybe even for the rest of your life. And there was no guarantee that you'd be rewarded at the end of the fight.

You can't control the mind of a viewer entirely, but you can control what they'll perceive to an extent. E.g. if Angel had preached about vampirism being the coolest and killing being so awesome, etc. then most likely that would've done a lot of damage and it'd have been a dangerous message. But Angel did the exact opposite. Vampirism was a curse. Having a soul, retaining it, was a blessing and something that Angel was willing to sacrifice for.

What difference does that make? You were talking Dexter being responsible for a boy's crime. Well that can be the case with many forms of entertainment.

You talk about Angel being saddled with a curse. Dexter too is shown as saddled with his own 'curse.' Angel killed bad guys as part of his redemption. So does Dexter.

Neither worked within the law. Now Dexter is set more in the "real world" speak, while Angel deals with mythology. That still doesn't make much of a difference because in the end, Dexter is just as much its own universe as Whedon's Buffy-Angel universe.

You talk about negative characters and vulnerability. Well, yeah. That's the case with many negative characters. The good ones are well rounded and three dimensional. And that goes for the character of Dexter too.

I'm done with this. Because this is so clearly off topic.

@ Lakshmi ..If it was for those ppl u have mentioned ,then u will hardly find them in this forum 😆 as who were once pagal behind HC and ditched him, why do u think they would be here now ?(as per ur reply they already ditched him right ) 😕 and even for an instance if we think they are here then its entirely their decision, who knows what made them take that decision ? they would have their own reasons 🥱btw there are many who were pagal behind something before and later pretend to be something else 😆 its common thing that happens, irrespective of fan groups 🥱

I think HC did a negative role in Amber Dhara or one of his past dramas.

But no...I wouldn't want to see him in a negative role...he just doesn't have the menacing face...if you know what I mean. Angry young man role...yes...villain no. At least for me...😆

i would surely enjoy that 😊 but he is soo gud in acting 😡 i wud start disliking his char n end up raising bp 😆 example: onu in begning for brking taani's heart ...obviously mohan 😆 but in a non-serious way...but mera., onu se chattis ka akdha 😡...credit goes to taani's over sheding tears...but "by the end of it" i liked them the most..
