Finally. Sia told Raghav the complete truth. Now the battle can truly begin. It was a great episode tonight. Don't miss it.
Before I start on the pros and cons, I would like to concede that I was a bit disappointed in how quickly they moved from Sia's confession/revelation to V showing up, etc. I had kinda hoped that they'd allow the scene between Raghav and Sia, as she told her story, to play out and that we'd get to absorb Raghav's reaction. But it was over quickly, and left a bit to be desired.
That said, I'm still immensely relieved that Raghav now knows the truth. This is definitely progress in terms of story line. Let's hope that the CVs execute the upcoming track in a delicate and thorough manner, because it deserves to be treated with focus.
>> Pros:
1) Sia pretends to beg V and then escapes to find Raghav
For a moment there, I was about to b#tch-slap Sia. I couldn't believe that she would drop to her knees, all of a sudden, and beg V for mercy -- something that we all know he's just incapable of giving. I was so frustrated with her. The progress she'd made in the last two episodes tossed out the window...
But then I noticed how there were no tears in her eyes. And hope was alight. Could it be? Could it be that Sia was actually shown as clever for once, pretending to beg him?
V left the room and her expression went from pleading to confident. I can't tell you exactly how delighted I was in that moment. Thank God for the CVs realizing that Sia needed the thing called a brain to outsmart V. Thank God for the CVs giving her one.
2) V falls for Sia's act
Now this made me truly happy. For once, V was outsmarted by Sia. He actually bought it. Her begging and pleading. The Dobriyal was actually fooled. Nice. Guess we can change his name for the night and call him Viraj The Fool.
3) Sia makes Raghav listen and tells him the truth
I loved how she raised her voice, demanding that he listen. I love how she didn't waste a single second, but got straight to the point. She told him what we've all wanted her to tell him for weeks now, and it was such a huge relief for me. Dammit. I loved it.
Raghav finally knows. Relish it. Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be her dream.
4) Raghav controls himself
I absolutely loved Harshad's performance in the whole scene. From the moment V came into the garage, playing Raghav, to the point where Raghav hammered away, just about a split-second from his control snapping like a twig and him attacking V with that hammer. I loved every single second of his flickering expressions -- one second he went blank and you could hardly get a read on him, what's he thinking, what's he feeling, and the next second you could see the rage on his face, in his eyes, hear it in his voice, and you could tell how close he was to exploding -- yet he yanked the fury back in control, taming it.
For now.
I think I get it. He barely had time to absorb, to digest the truth before V walked in. He has not gotten a chance to consider everything, to think, to feel what he's feeling. One thing I was happy about was that he didn't resent Sia. He seemed to understand her, and he supported her. But I think that, deep down, he is angry with her and it'll show over the next couple of days. When he's had time to actually digest the bad news.
One has to admire Raghav for his ability to control his expressions so delicately. He didn't let on that he had Sia hidden in a trunk and that he was pissed at V, except when he was hammering away.
5) The tension b/w Raghav and V
Loved it.
V was purposely provoking Raghav, checking to see if Raghav knew. But Raghav kept on hammering away, not losing his temper yet. One could feel the tension between them. It was tangible. It was exciting.
I can't wait to see how Raghav will handle V and vice versa.
I especially loved how Raghav's hammering got louder and louder as V listed up the names of his family members.
6) Raghav hides Sia in a trunk
Damn clever move. I didn't doubt for a second that Raghav would hide her. And she's so small. LOL. She fit perfectly into the trunk. Even better, Raghav was clever enough to let her ease out when V returned. I bet she's under the car while V is busy cooing over his Jahnvi inside the trunk. He almost kissed the trunk, man. Psycho rapist.
7) The battle has become Raghav/Sia versus V now
YES. This was the final point and message that I loved the most about tonight's episode. It's not Sia's fight alone anymore. Raghav is on her side now. Plus Raghav's family being involved, this is his fight now too. So they might as well fight together.
I damn well hope that the CVs will give us time to enjoy their secret teamwork to bring V down on his knees in the frigging dirt. I know it won't be easy. And I know they'll probably lose a lot of battles. But still. I wanna see them stick together in this, fight together for the people they love and each other.
Gosh, this sounded like a wedding vow 😆
>> Cons:
1) There was flow, but scenes were rushed
The revelation scene was rushed. Totally, unnecessarily rushed. The time that they spent on suspense could've been cut short and been spent on allowing the scene to play out as it was the most important scene like, ever, and something we've been waiting to see for, like, ever -_-
2) Too much suspense and flashbacks ruined the moment for me
It would've had a stronger impact on the scene altogether if Sia had been given more dialogues and we'd had less flashbacks. As in, she could've said "he used to hit me" and then we'd get the torture flashbacks, and then she could've said "after the rape, I got pregnant only to lose the child" and the loss-of-child scene. "I had to run, so I did" and we could've gotten her running away, etc. etc. Point is that she should've told the story more than us seeing it in flashbacks since WE all know the story and have seen it while Raghav does not and so we weren't the ones who had to experience the horror of it, but Raghav was.
That lacked for me. Instead they just stuffed the scenes with flashbacks, muted Sia, and that was that. Why are they so afraid of giving Sia a voice? Powerful dialogues? The actress is more than capable of delivering it.
