Good episode tonight. There wasn't much progress in terms of story, but there was definitely some progress in terms of character development. Must-watch scenes tonight, no doubt about it.
Well, alright. Moving on to the...
>> Pros:
1) Raghav's action sequence
Man, it was an awesome sequence. Raghav's kicks and punches were mindblowing. His speed, style, everything was just so hero-ish without being over the top. There were a lot of shots that made my jaw drop in surprise at how well-shot and well-performed it all was.
For one thing, I loved this shot with the sack because it was frigging hilarious. It was kind of like the guys were playing frisbee or something, and Raghav being a bit more forceful tossed it too hard, going "hey, fetch" and SMACK.
Then there was this shot that just made me go "NICE!" in a fangiri squeal. It reminded me of Aamir Khan in Ghajini, for some reason. Just a mindblowing shot, really. Watch:
And then this shot just cracked me up so badly that I needed stitches. Hilarious. That guy just kept wiggling on the floor, clinging to Raghav's leg [another Raghavji groupie maybe, now V and Shekhawat will have competition in their Who Wins Raghav's Heart contest]. I couldn't stop laughing at the way he kept clinging even AFTER Shekhawat had left. Best part was when Raghav grabbed his shirt with one hand and lifted him up.
Raghav was like "dude, what's wrong with you?" Watch:
Not to mention, I loved how Raghav yelled "SHEKHAWAT!" That was fierce.
2) Sia shows strength and throws an interesting line in V's face
Loved how Sia didn't cry, even for a second, tonight. V went as far as pulling her hair and dupatta, choking her, but she didn't as much as shed a tear. In fact, she all but spat back at him. There were some repetitive lines such as her asking him if he has even an ounce of humanity in him, but I could tolerate them because she didn't sound self-pitying.
It was interesting to hear V's angle on the Singhs taking care of him. He said that he had made his own place in the house. No one had taken him in. And he put the entire blame on Sia, once again. The man is the most self-serving person that I've ever encountered. His sickness goes as far as to his OCPD and stops there. The rest is pure cunningness. We saw it once again tonight.
Best line in this entire scene was when he'd yanked her head back and she stared back at him with a "go ahead" expression and said "if Raghav goes to jail, then I go with him".
That was frigging fierce, man. I loved that. Watch:
I'd like to believe that it wasn't just friendly concern making her say that. But something a lot deeper.
3) Raghav almost smacks V for busting him
It was so funny. Raghav's expression and "hush!" gesture when V, on purpose of course, exclaimed loudly that Raghav was bleeding from his hand, alerting Gayatri.
I wanted to smack V, but at the same time I found it funny how Raghav reacted.
4) RaYatri moment and Gayatri's awesome dialogue to Raghav: "aap agar itne door khade rahenge toh aapko humara pyaar bhi nahi mil payega"
Best. Frigging. Moment. Ever. That's all I have to say. I'm a diehard fan of their chemistry, of their mother-son relationship that just touches me beyond words. God, they are just so in sync with one another, both actors. Mindblowing performances.
Watch and tell me that this is not a sweet moment between a mother and her son:
5) Gayatri gives Power of Attorney to Raghavendra Pratap Singh
IN YOUR FRIGGING FACE, V.
I literally squealed in delight. I was so relieved. I mean, I would've been majorly pissed off if Gayatri had handed it to V. That would've been the biggest character blooper ever. But the writers pleasantly surprised me.
Now I'm just worried that V is gonna mess with the paperwork.
However, I gotta admit that I enjoyed Sia's expression when V lost this game.
Sia: Checkmate, Viraj The Great Dobriyal.
6) Flow and connected scenes
No complaints. Everything flowed. No funny disconnected scenes.
7) Some powerful dialogue
There were some powerful lines from Sia tonight. It's progress. We're not quite there yet, but it's still a positive sign.
8) V's bad intentions are for real -- big surprise there
It's not far from thought to action. And when your intentions are impure/evil...
Sia needs to be careful. She cannot afford to provoke him further.
>> Cons:
1) Krish continues to hang around V
I don't get it. I still don't get it. Krish was unique. He could sense people's intentions and he sensed V's cruel nature from day one. What's he doing fraternizing with the enemy?
Character blooper.
2) No bandage scene between RaghaVi
I had such high hopes. Sigh.
One final thing that I noticed. V is enjoying playing this game with Sia. Think about it. If all he wanted was to take Jahnvi back to Manali, he would've kidnapped her a long time ago and gone back. Instead, he playing games with the Singhs and Sia. In a twisted way, it turns him on. It makes him feel that when he takes Jahnvi back to Manali -- and oh, yes, he will -- then he'll take her back as the victor, a conquerer.
