The episode tonight was at least better than yesterday's. I wasn't as pissed at Sia. But I'm still incredibly annoyed with her for a lot of things. However, good episode. Missed Raghav, though. Like a lot. His absence tonight was a reminder that without his powerpacked presence, the show becomes incredibly hollow and lacking for me. Becomes, well, depressing. Too dark. We need the hero, CVs! If there's a villain, the hero must be there to provide balance :D
>> Pros:
1) Jahnvi raises her voice and does the classy Shut Up gesture with her hand
Finally. I was so delighted when she shouted "enough" and held up her hand in a "shut up, b#tch!" gesture that made my insides quiver with pride. That part along with the way that the camera focused on her hand, the lifted finger, and her expression was pretty darn priceless to me. Now, if this could just become a consistent thing about her character, I'd actually start feeling hopeful again. But I have learned not to get my hopes up, so I'm just gonna praise this moment and move on.
I really, really liked it that she shouted at him. Like, really liked it.
Ahem.
2) V whips her with his belt, threatens her, and begs her
He changed his attitude/behavior the way one changes clothes, I swear. At first, he went Psycho V on her, whipping her with the belt. But when she faced him, unnerved, fearlessly, it disturbed him. He switched to threatening her instead and the good ol' "I want my Jahnvi back, gimme my Jahnvi back, Momma!". Still she looked him in the eye, unmoved. Finally, he went for the begging. And she refused to yield [thank God, because if she had been swayed even a tiny bit, I would've smacked her!]
She was cold, and hard as a rock. Refusing to give him what he wanted. However, her mistake was that she challenged him and also provoked him further. There'll be hell to pay, is what I'm sensing from V.
God, it felt so good to watch V beg. To watch him squirm. Psychotic rapist!
3) "Don't answer that" made me LMFAO
It was a giddy feeling when V said "you me so much, don't you?" and she just stared back at him with a "take a hike, you psychopath" kind of expression. And then when he said "okay, don't answer that", I laughed. Cuz he was so frigging pathetic.
4) Jahnvi figures out that V was behind everything that happened lately
Well, thank you, CVs. About time [insert standing ovation wala emoticon here]. She's finally figured out that he was behind Gayatri's assassination attempt, Krish's cruel kidnapping, and Sundar's murder attempt. Wonderful.
Can we move on now, though? Because she should've figured out by now that when it comes to strange accidents and people almost dying -- V is always behind it.
5) Komal comes home and is pissed at Jahnvi and V
Man, I was so happy to see Komal and I loved how annoyed she seemed with Jahnvi and V. I was annoyed right with her. The way she kept giving them "what were you guys doing alone?" glances and "everything is falling apart and you guys are just standing here making holes in belts". Love this woman.
I liked that they showed how stressed and all over the place she was. No time for a maid-psycho affair investigation.
6) Jahnvi tries to tell her everything
Again, I'll praise her for her persistent trying, at least.
7) Jahnvi recoils from V
At least tonight whenever he tried to touch her, she recoiled and warned him with a hand lift and/or raise of eyebrows like "don't even think it". Better than yesterday when she just let him hand-rape her all over.
8) Komal suspects something between Jahnvi and V
It felt good when Komal shut off at V's comment on how Jahnvi forgot something in his room. Because, as much as her thought what the two were doing in his room alone with Krish in a soundproof room is wrong, I feel like Jahnvi deserved the distrusting look. Because the way she's been acting around V, wandering to his room, taking care of him and all -- well, in Komal's place, I'd have thought the same.
>> Cons:
1) Jahnvi doesn't blurt everything out in front of Komal
Um, how hard would it have been to scream "shut the hell up and let me talk, Viraj" and then told Komal that he's her psycho rapist of a husband who's been stalking her all this while? Not so hard, in my opinion.
But, on the other hand, telling Komal while they were two women and one child alone with a psychopath might not be the best thing to do.
2) Not enough powerful dialogues for Jahnvi
They really need to give Sriti more dialogues and way more POWERFUL dialogues. Please. They always leave me with an empty or awkward feeling, like... waiting... waiting... waiting for the impact, but it never comes. They're so great at writing V's dialogues and make them impactful -- can't they do the same for Jahnvi?
