Enormous admission of guilt for the late feedback. Was my niece's birthday today, so they -- as in my mean family -- forced me to socialize *shudder*
The feedback isn't long because it's late and I'm tired. Been a long, frustrating day. But I'd have tossed and turned all night out of guilt if I hadn't posted something for those of you who wait so patiently.
Tonight's episode wasn't fantastic, except for the RaSiKri/RaghaVi scenes though. It's just a pleasure to watch Harshad-Sriti chemistry on-screen. But in terms of story progress and character development? There was none tonight. Just more frustration with the CVs.
>> Pros:
1) RaSiKri on the bike -- Hot Chase Sequence
Wickedly shot. Loved it. It was hot.
2) HarshSri chemistry in the Nightmare Sequence
Fantabulous chemistry between Harshad-Sriti. It was V's nightmare, but it was awesome, because even in between the intimate shots, HarshSri brought out a part of the essence of RaghaVi's relationship -- which is the timid innocence.
V must've noticed that about them, subconsciously. Heh.
The fingers trailing over her skin, the feather-light touch on her cheek, his right hand that toyed with hers, the head on the shoulder, the caressing of her cheek before the almost-kiss... it was all meticulously executed by the actors, conveying the intensity, intimacy -- and, most importantly, the incredible chemistry that they're capable of creating between them! Hands down!
3) RaghaVi awkwardness
Beautiful. Raghav's hesitation around Sia was so obvious tonight. He was hyper aware of her presence. Sia's confusion in response to his awkwardness was obvious too.
One scene that I loved was when he handed her a fruit and she mimicked his gesture and refused to take what he offered before he'd taken what she offered. That was symbolic in a way -- to show how selfless they both are and will be in relation to each other.
4) Sundar attempting to fool V
The guy deserves some credit for lying and trying. He should've still spilled the beans to Raghav before, but oh well. Suspense had to happen. Logic had to leave.
5) Komal's distress
That one shot of her sobbing on Gayatri's shoulder was mindblowing. It broke my heart. I wish that they'd stop rushing such scenes and allow them to play out. The CVs have such a brilliant set of actors. Why aren't they using them to their fullest?
6) Unniyal returneth for real
Missed him. Good to see him back alongside V. They make a much better pair.
>> Cons:
1) Funny cuts [read: frigging annoying cuts!]
I'm sick of it. For instance, in the scene when V hung up on Shekhawat, they showed him tossing the chess board and cut the scene to him being on the phone with Unniyal. I was like O.o How many seconds would it have taken for you to show V dial Unniyal's number? Could you guys at least sustain the flow in the episodes, if nothing else?
2) No progress in terms of story
None. Zilch. Nada. We're going in circles. V will pretend to be a hero, more glorification of him from Gayatri's and everyone else's side, and none of the smart characters suspect -- well, anything. At all. I know V is clever, but he's not the smartest person on Planet Earth, so someone, anyone, should be noticing something, suspecting something.
For crap's sake. For the sake of suspense and their dragfest, they're making such smart, such intelligent characters plain stupid, because they can't even catch a hint of V's being a frigging psychopath. I mean, one of the residents is a frigging doctor!
3) Character bloopers
Unniyal was driving the car. V wouldn't have allowed it. He would've been the one driving it. Plus V doesn't get distressed over a plan going wrong. His plans are always foolproof. If they go wrong, it's because something big is about to happen that will throw him off his feet -- and unless Sia is about to go kung fu on him or something as great as that, I don't see how he could be shown like a supervillain one minute and an amateur the next.
The old V was at least in character and consistent.
CVs confused much?
