Tonight's episode was aight as in it was good, but a few things bugged me about it. Let us have a look, shall we?
>> Pros:
1) Raghav's dialogues
Not just in the scene between him and his mother, but throughout the entire episode. The dialogues were damn powerful and Harshad's ability to deepen the meaning of each word just by his manner of speech is awe-inspiring. I don't believe that they would have had the same impact if he hadn't been the one to express them.
Beautiful.
I needn't mention just how intense the woman who portrays Gayatri and Harshad are on-screen together. The tension between Raghav and his mother is tangible and the pain is a companion that follows their relationship like an invincible shadow. I think that what they told each other tonight needed to be said out loud, needed to be put out there in the open for both of them to see, touch, and feel.
We saw how the impact of Raghav's word festered in Gayatri's mind. Something that she had never considered before festered in her mind. Was she really a bad mother? Perhaps what she had needed to do all along was look inside herself for the answers to her pain -- rather than condemn Raghav for it alone?
The best part was when Raghav said: Aapka beta hoon main and walked out. The way he said it conveyed how broken he is, the pain that's burning him up from the inside. It was a simple statement, really, but it conveyed so frigging much.
2) Gayatri's lament
It's always interesting to watch a cold, seemingly detached, character break -- even if it is just for a brief moment. Break and shed a tear. I was stunned. Stunned at Gayatri's tears, her questions, her grief. It uncovered another layer of her character and, despite her very bitter words, I could sympathize with her.
I love how reflective she is -- like Raghav. Thinking about things, questioning them, rather than being ignorant about the truth/reality. That's fearlessness.
3) Raghav's not in the mood for your sweet talk, honey
The scene in the outhouse when Raghav ironed his clothes, angrily [which was hilarious], and tried to gain some kind of control over his explosive emotions -- that was seriously an awesome scene. For one thing, I loved that he refused to talk to Jahnvi about it. She was in his way at that moment. But I could just feel his hurt, frustration, self-blame, and anger all mixed up and sparking in opposite directions -- leaving him open and vulnerable.
He was restless, unable to deal.
He went outside to call his sister and exploded.
4) Raghav's phone conversation with Taashu
Heartbreaking scene. He had no real control over his emotions, switching from furiously concerned to scared and powerless to broken and hurt. It's not an easy task to convey such a variety of intense emotions in a short scene -- that, too, when you don't have an actor in front of you to ping pong with. He was acting to the phone and the camera.
Just with an amazing conviction.
5) Itne greasy hands
That was the only part I liked about tonight's V scene. KVB is an amazing performer, but even he could not hold my attention in the Double V scene. The Double Vs are starting to bug the hell out of me. This is a con, I know. But I'm saying it here: I have no frigging idea of what the CVs are doing, showing the double for the past three episodes. It makes no damn sense -- other than that they want to give viewers a justification for blaming his evil mind on some schizophrenic disorder next.
Seriously? How many disorders are you gonna give him to excuse his crap character? He is evil, get it? Just get on with it. Last thing I can stand right now is V's loyal worshippers on FB oh'ing and ah'ing over how incredibly ill he is and how his jaan can cure him. Next, I'll read comments on how it wasn't V who raped Jahnvi, but his double *dies*
Anyhow. Liked the way he wiped everything, said the greasy hands wala dialogue.
6) Krish's drawing and Komal refusing to tell Jahnvi anything
I loved the scene between mother and son. But most of all, Krish's drawing intrigued me. Honestly, I believe that Dev was not as good a man as everyone keeps preaching. Look, one can interpret the black shadow of him as a ghost/spirit, symbol of death, whatever -- but I interpret it as something negative, that Krish remembers his father as dark and quite a bit threatening. I also think that his nightmare had something to do with Dev.
I know that a lot of people will disagree with me on this, because Gayatri and Raghav and Komal seem to remember him with fondness -- but there can still be a dark side to Dev.
7) RaghaVi romance V-style
I admit that this is a half-con. Because I so did not enjoy Raghav buttering that toast in the total V-style. Gave me a disturbing flashback of the first episode -- the morning after V had tortured Jahnvi senseless and presented her with breakfast-on-bed, buttering her toast.
But what I did enjoy was Harshad-Sriti's amazing chemistry. They were on fire. The way that they kept gazing at each other -- there was nothing nervous Jahnvi over that. Sriti's performance challenged Harshad's in the sexy-eyes department, matching him step by step. Give and take performance, no doubt about it. The air between them was charged. Electrifying.
Fantastic performance by both.
>> Cons:
1) Jahnvi's constant butting in
Please do not give me the excuse that she just wants to take care of Raghav and his dear family, because they took care of her. I don't buy it. She is trespassing. Whatever massive family drama has happened in the past, it is none of her damn business.
I mean, seriously? "Ab mujhe unko sambhalna hoga." Meri maa, pehle apne aap ko toh sambhal lo tum *facewall*
That's all from me tonight, lovelies. Goodnight 😳

Thanks Elysia...always enjoy reading your posts.
Raghav's confrontation with his mother:
Definitely the best part of tonight's episode. I loved loved loved Raghav's dialogues...😃 My reaction...you tell her Raghav!
The double Viraj scene:
I never interpreted the appearance of the second Viraj as being related to his mental illness. It sounds simplistic but I always saw it as the real Viraj, debating with himself as to how long he's supposed to put up with everything he shouldn't have to put up with. A revelation of what he is really feeling inside...that what he'd really like is to is pull out that belt and use it on Jhanvi. And he will do it...he's just debating as to what is the best way. Drag her out by the hair caveman style, or make her come willingly...so that no one can blame him later on. He's as cold calculated and manipulative as ever. Mental illness or not I have no sympathy for him, it does not justify what he did...Perhaps I just can't get past the fact that he is a fiend.
The dream sequence:
I'm not going to gush...because I'm not a super duper fan of OTT, filmy, hair-flying, accidental slip into the hero's lap type of romance...😆...so prevalant in hindi serials...but I did enjoy seeing Jhanvi smile.
Actually, the best part of the dream for me was that it was in fact Viraj's nightmare...😆
Krish's drawing and Komal refusing to tell Jahnvi anything:
Again I may be over simplifying things...but how old is Krish...7 or 8? If his father died 4 years ago...the drawing may just signify that he doesn't remember too much about his father, because he was too young when he passed away. I think if Dev had a dark side, Komal, Gaytri, Tanisha, and especially Raghav would not have missed or remembered him the way they do.
Tanisha on the road trip:
"I'm old enough to take care of myself". I hate this age old phrase to justify stupid behavior. Why is she on this road trip? Okay forget that...The driver, Mr. Ballah, and her friend are there so she doesn't feel unsafe. But why is she accepting alcohol from a stranger? This is the same wierdo whose behavior she was startled by in the car. Who she was making fun of about staring at the menu for 10 minutes...Who her brother warned her is a ser phira (and she didn't disagree)...so now it's suddenly okay to accept alcohol from him? 🤪...I'm sorry but that's not how I was brought up.
Jahnvi's desire to help Raghav and his mother make peace:
I know the girl is greatful for the help and shelter this family has given her. But if she really cared she would tell the family about her true identity. She was only going to do so, because she thought she'd be forced to go to Manaali with Viraj. Yet she remained quiet when Tanisha went. Did she suddenly forget that Viraj is dangerous? Also she knows Sunadar is still in Manaali looking for clues...the truth is eventually going to come out. What will everyone think when they find out she's been lying to them all this time? That she put the family at risk. She's being selfish...like you said...she needs to fix herself before she can help fix others.

so true! HC nails it n gives total justice to the scenes/dialogs he is given... doesn't need to go OTT or jump around,, one could tie him up to a chair n yet the scene will have the same impact!

I keep saying this and I'll say it again, hats off to the casting team for bringing in both HC and this actress who plays G (someone find out her name yar n more info on Yash). HC's chemistry with these 2 is just amazing 👏
n I loved how the CVs aren't brushing up this under the carpet, once there was a time when Raghav n Gayatri would talk thru a 3rd person. Raghav spoke to her first and now even she goes direct. I'd say this is a gr8 start
We saw how the impact of Raghav's word festered in Gayatri's mind. Something that she had never considered before festered in her mind. Was she really a bad mother? Perhaps what she had needed to do all along was look inside herself for the answers to her pain -- rather than condemn Raghav for it alone?

Gayatri doesn't listen to anyone so she will be the one who will have to ponder n realize where she is going wrong!

The best part was when Raghav said: Aapka beta hoon main and walked out. The way he said it conveyed how broken he is, the pain that's burning him up from the inside. It was a simple statement, really, but it conveyed so frigging much.

HC does it so well, the epi where Raghav cries out to Dev to come back n handle it, then where he behaves like a kid in anger saying, he won't drink the tea that Sia brought and now today when he was so hurt n walked off saying this... all done differently n equal impact 👏

Like mother, Like son I'll say 😆
3) Raghav's not in the mood for your sweet talk, honey

For one thing, I loved that he refused to talk to Jahnvi about it. She was in his way at that moment. But I could just feel his hurt, frustration, self-blame, and anger all mixed up and sparking in opposite directions -- leaving him open and vulnerable.

I'm sure he was missing his punching bag in the garage so went for ironing 😆 but seriously, this is what makes Raghav real... he isn't like, he saw the gal n forgot everything.. even in real life at times we blast off n later on realize that we took out that anger on someone else... but yeah, Sia needs to stop becoming Sherlock...
what a timing she has, in all 3 rooms she reached in time... I hope the CVs don't break her now in 3 parts like viraj 🥱
🤣
He was restless, unable to deal.
He went outside to call his sister and exploded.
4) Raghav's phone conversation with Taashu
Heartbreaking scene. He had no real control over his emotions, switching from furiously concerned to scared and powerless to broken and hurt. It's not an easy task to convey such a variety of intense emotions in a short scene -- that, too, when you don't have an actor in front of you to ping pong with. He was acting to the phone and the camera.
Just with an amazing conviction.

so true! I tell u if HC gets a wall to do a scene with, even then he'll do it convincingly... how could Tashu not hear him breaking out of concern? She is behaving as if she was imprisoned till date n suddenly got to see the sun! Weren't we told she was in hostel? 😕

5) Itne greasy hands

like someone wrote, it seems the CVs have a bowl full of chits with disease names written over them and they go for a lucky draw. Just no sense of double Viraj.. coz both r pure evil, infact some people who r mistaking the one to be good is more dangerous coz he is hiding his evil side and we know that a hidden enemy is more dangerous!
I know that a lot of people will disagree with me on this, because Gayatri and Raghav and Komal seem to remember him with fondness -- but there can still be a dark side to Dev.

I know right!! when I saw it black, even I thought the same... Krish could have simply put his dad's drawing far from home but he made it 'black and scribbled over'... then I remember how Raghav was crying out to Dev to come back 😕 he won't do that if Dev was -ve but again maybe he was nothing bad when compared to Viraj?
7) RaghaVi romance V-style
I admit that this is a half-con. Because I so did not enjoy Raghav buttering that toast in the total V-style. Gave me a disturbing flashback of the first episode -- the morning after V had tortured Jahnvi senseless and presented her with breakfast-on-bed, buttering her toast.

oh how romantic na? hubby feeding u, forget if he beat u last night... that's his style of 'love' 🤢
Electrifying.

don't remind me of that scene.. I can't take it right now, I hope the promos give me a warning next time before such a scene and I'll take a life insurance coz OMG! what looks, what chemistry... why couldn't Viraj come back after Sia Raghav romance had started... they have every potential to become the hottest pair on Indian tele, well they r already.. just need to have proper n real scenes ❤️
"Ab mujhe unko sambhalna hoga." Meri maa, pehle apne aap ko toh sambhal lo tum *facewall*

so true! if she is really so concerned then why not now tell them about viraj instead of poking her nose everywhere? she very easily wants to know all 'bout Raghav while hiding all 'bout herself n Viraj... what logic is there?

🤣 @ --> Meri maa, pehle apne aap ko toh sambhal lo tum *facewall*

today I didn't do any chamatkar 😛 😆

Loving your episode analysis so much but I am just not getting time to reply to your post.

Harshad literally stole the show today. What an amazing performance he gave.👏👏

I am so proud to be his fan since last five years.

I absolutely adore this guy. I guess he is simply living his character. What can I say about his voice modulation. It was so perfect for every single scene.

Actually I loved his scene with everybody but I just love his scene with his mother they both are doing amazing job. Whatever he told his mother today I guess it was necessary to take it our from their heart. We might see little soft mother probably from tomorrow.

Even though I did not like that RaghaVi scene was Viraj's dream but they have an amazing chemistry together. they both look so good together.

First time I felt Komal is krish's mother. It was small but cute scene.
Assay ki dukan hats off to you for what you have described about Dev. I was like he is dead that is the reason he just drew his shadow but you are amazing.

I liked double Viraj in first episode but then his acts become so repetitive. But that is not his fault since that is CVs and writers job. please do not try to even say that he has schizophrenic disorder now..He just can't have all the disorder in the world.

Loved it the last scene of Raghav. Such a fabulous performance and so many amazing expression in one scene. You can feel his fear, pain, anger, concern and love for his small sister.

HARSHAD you are actor par excellence. Hats off to you. Simply loving you as Raghav. 😍😍

i will not add anything here ely...u put it just beautifully...⭐️⭐️⭐️...wen raghav said..."u lost ur younger son too"..the way hc delivered that dialogue was...simply...supeb⭐️
2) Gayatri's lament

i couldn't ely...blaming a child for another child's death is just not acceptable...

oh...i just loved it...😆😆😆i guess jahnvi should get the hint that she needs to stay away from their family matters...🥱

tell me abt it...i actually can't believe that the cvs are going to stoop this low...they r thinking of all possible ways to justify this character...and its actually shocking...how a channel and a show which goes on saying its a fight against domestic violence...and then counters everything shown this far!
6) Krish's drawing and Komal refusing to tell Jahnvi anything
I loved the scene between mother and son. But most of all, Krish's drawing intrigued me. Honestly, I believe that Dev was not as good a man as everyone keeps preaching. yes ely...even i got that feeling...there is definitely something very very negative abt dev
7) RaghaVi romance V-style

i have a totally different view...hats off to harshad...u know ely...i've been watching him for almost 4 1/2 yrs now...this scene was a soo not hc style scene...this guy knows how to make an ordinary scene into a spectacular one...it was vraj's dream...so he made sure everything was shouting out its not raghav⭐️⭐️⭐️ hats off to hc..and sriti...coz the whole body language was of jahnvi...not sia...
but...the chemistry which was oozing out setting our screens on fire was definitely harshad-sriti...😊⭐️
>> Cons:

Well explained Ana.. 👏

The hilarious part is she trusted V again... although she doesn't want to go with him, she is thinking that V lost his memory and it wont come back.. so that he can start a new life... Hence thought of not opening her mouth while tashu was going with him... 🤣 🤣

Most surprisingly, she saw V in the house... Why the hell she decided to not to find anything about his arrival to delhi... Why doesnt she do some detective work on her own matters than others personal matters??.. 😡

Pros:
  1. It was amazing. They were power-packed dialogues. Each and every one of them had a million meanings. 👏
  2. I always called her chudail, but seeing her lament made me realize that she isn't really as rude as I thought. She's just rock solid. And I like. 👏
  3. Raghav was hurting and Sia came at the wrong time to help him. Hence the anger. Sia should have understood but she was too busy being mahaan to notice. Thanks to CVs for not making Raghav melt. 👏
  4. Raghav was really trying to control himself, but he couldn't. And that's what happened in this scene. The emotion switching was him trying to control himself and failing. 😭😡
  5. I was a bit confused here about the two Virajs myself. What are the CVs trying to do? 😡🤢
  6. Sia has no business sticking her nose in something she shouldn't. This was supposed to be a mother-son moment and she sticks her nose in it. Obviously no one's going to tell her anything. 😡
  7. I was surprised that this was V's dream, but I enjoyed nonetheless. 😳😲
Cons:
  1. When is this girl going to learn that not everyone can tell her everything just because she's the darn lead of the show? Actually change that. When are the CVs going to stop making the lead lady a mahaan, tyagi ladki? 😡
