..and I do mean this seriousely. Living abroad, I have not seen a tv show that focuses on the torture or domestic violence. Movies, docu-drama, and even short series. But not the daily life of a abused wife.

..and how is this entertainment? Is this something that is common in india..is it a taboo. I have seen many uncles and aunties in social circles growing up and its clear that they are NOT happy, who knows what goes on behind closed doors...but its I am convinced that they were arranged to simply procriate and have grandkids.
..Are women not empowered enough in india to speak up against there husbands, to their families...I thought this backwards mentality was old school..back from our grandparents generation.
Is is still "ok" for men to abuse their wives verbally or physically. What about the laws in india?
...sorry after watching the episode one, I was hoping that this drama would quickly turn into something of hope of how one can escape domestic violence..not into one that condones it.

In india womens do have power but they do not speak just for the sake of their family(and this is the thing i HATE).If they go to law and file a case against their husband its sure that their husbands would be punished and even will be behind the BARS!
and where it comes to plot of the story its focuses on Indian Society where many of the Husbands actually does all these but the difference is only virat does to gain love and all other does cause they dont love their wives!
And the channel is trying to come up the problem and how one can cure it
