Yes, we are back in track.. The episode was perfect... Every emotion was at place.. Nothing over dramatic, nothing exaggerated, true emotions, exquisitely expressed..

Stars of the episode were undoubtably Gurdeep, closely followed by Mahima (Disha)..

Nothing much on the first scene.. The same police guy comes, but understands Ram's plight, reprimands the doc for neglecting his duty, takes both of them to the market Anu is still lying unconsciousness. Doctor says, it seems to be an internal bleeding and suggests them to take her to a specialist in Mumbai who has 90% success rate in cancer patients.. Disha is shocked & heartbroken hearing about cancer, Ram buys sometime saying he will explain later..

At Mumbai hospital.. Here comes one of the best scene of the day.. Ram looking at Anu (through the door) remembering her words about not wanting to die connected to the machines, a crying Disha confronts Ram about lying to them about Anu's heath.. Her questions so valid, and the scene done by Mahima beautifully, you really feel Disha's pain beneath the anger.. Ram is helpless, he tells her about Anu's wish to keep the kids happy always, and asks her to be supportive to her mom. Disha breaks down and hugs him, perfect scene with no OTT, superbly done by both, especially by Mahima..

Ram is allowed to go in to meet the now conscious Anu. He promises Disha that she & Aarav can go in next and goes in to meet Anu.. Anu questions him about bringing her to hospital when she clearly told him that she doesn't want treatment, a natural, but painful conversion ensues between them where Anu declines chemotherapy (now it is clear no chemo done before the trip) explaining the painful side effects, Ram questions her whether she can't do it for him, their kids, Anu replies she can, but if there is a guarantee for cure.. (hmmm, is there a guarantee for anything in life).. Ram replies in kind and now Anu asks for her third wish, the most dreaded third wish which is nothing but letting her go without treatment.. Ram bursts out in anger and denies to fulfil her wish.. Superb scene, great acting by Gurdeep, and a very subtle display of emotions by Ram.. Ram informs her the specialist and leaves to meet him before warning to behave with the kids.. Gurdeep's reply gesture was just so so good, I don't have any words to express it..

Ram asks Disha to be cheerful with Anu, another mind blowing scene follows, the power of mother - children love.. Both kids breaks down seeing their mother, Anu tries hard to be cheerful for their sake. Again my words fail me, the scene had to be seen to understand the impact.. I felt unshed tears in my eyes and lump in my throat..

Ram goes with a friend to meet the doc, Doc claims it is a very complicated case which falls under his 10% failure percentage.. :(

The whole episode was awesome, perfect emotions and acting.. And the FB scenes were used very smartly with great impact and the BG music was perfect too...

I am so touched by the episode that I just was not able to write my take for long..

This episode had it all. It covered up for this whole week's unrealism and crap. It was exactly what I wanted to see in this show. Brought me in tears myself.

Mahima is a brilliant actress. For her age, which I believe is 15, she is extremely gifted. Mahima was absolutely perfect- in love with her already.

Aarav, for his age, is so cute. My heart cries looking at these kids, especially Aarav who is so young. The kids were on fleek today, fantastic acting and I loved the mom-kids scene.

Ram- finally getting himself together. Hopefully realizing it's now serious time.

I think this is where it all fully starts from. Looking forward to this battle. But this episode had every single thing I wanted to see in this show, and seeing this makes me waiting for next week eagerly. Loved it.

It was an emotional roller-caster episode. For Ram and the kids it was a bitter pill to swallow but still showed a face of bravery and will power. This was really good that they showed the will power and a strong family bond, that they will remain strong and fight through the hurdle.

Ram's reaction was a mixture of emotions, he was helpless, didn't have an answer. It was heart touching scene, it had a massive impact on him. His denial which is realistic as he did not want to let go of his lady love but fight through it. Such emotions.
Agree with you, it was perfect and had full emotions, dil ko chuli.

Btw awesome post dear.

Thank you Geetha for the take. Awesome as always. The actors nailed the emotions to the T and the episode was devoid of any excess melodrama. Fingers crossed that the makers keep their grip on things. I know it's difficult for them to always keep excess drama from seeping in because the creatives and producers have other constraints like trps and channel directives. But I hope they are able to keep it simple and heartfelt.

It isn't easy to let go at all and it's also not easy to hold on when you know that it's draining your family. It's like being caught between the devil and the deep blue sea...it's not an easy place to be for Ram and Anu. You feel so sad for the children too. Losing a parent is devastating at any age and here they are so young.

Here's hoping for a good 3rd week episodes for the show.

Yes Sanjana, both the children are very good for their age..

I think Ram knew it is serious time from the time he looked at the reports.. But he was burdened by the need to stay strong and also to pretend for the sake of children. Now the need of pretension has gone, but he still need to stay strong for the family..

Yup, the real journey starts now..

Thank you Sophie..

Yes, the family bond is the only thing that can carry them through the tough period..

You can't help, but sympathise with each of them.. Everyone of them is suffering.

Yes Suganthi, the makers walk on a thin line here, hope it is kept as relaistic and simple as possible..

Very true!! How can you let go if there is even a 0.1% of survival? And if you let go, the innumnerous 'What ifs', won't they torture you for the rest of your life? Won't you feel you failed somehow, not just your wife, but yourself and most importantly the kids?

And from Anu's POV, nobody wants to die, that too a woman who is blessed with such a beautiful and loving family.. But what choice she has? And she instinctively knows that prolonging this tortures will only hurt her family more, she is not asking to let go because of her selfishness, but because she want to safeguard her family from the pain of seeing her suffering more than required..

Yes, it is a tough place for both of them to be in..

The kids.. There are simply no words to express the pain they must be going through..

Brilliant post again. I love reading your take on the epis. The whole epi was done brilliantly by all the actors. Mahima and Gurdeep were brilliant and their scene did bring tears to my eyes too.

I felt bad for both Ram and Anu. Both are correct in their position. Feel really bad for Disha who understands what her mother's condition is and what it really means.
