I feel this jealousy would make him realize that he can't stay without her and he will go against Vp. He does need soem kind of push to choose palak over his dad because as he alwyas said he loves his dad more than anyone in the world.

But curse isn't only that the girl will leave him. She said first you will leave everything and evryone for her and then that girl will leave you. So first rotiwk needs to leave his family before palak leaves him. I think first part of curse of him leaving will happen now and then after they get married palak will leave him for some major reason/ sacrifice.
