I don't think it's past.its just palak point of view.even in Meri aashiqui tumse hi,they started wid ranveer narrating d story.

Or may be d maut factor in mohabbat.may rithvik own mom entered,he had a terrible accident may be he is in coma.where everybody lost hope,that he will not come back.but in all these tough tym palak has not lost hope n is their wid Ricky in hospital wid d belief that her love will definitely bring ricky back to her.may be she is narrating her filmy love story to someone on d hospital

I still believe its Palak who is gonna die..

Palak has some deadly disease like cancer or something. And when she will get to know about it she will leave Ritwik and wont tell him truth for his own good. ------- This is based on Palak-Setu conversation of leaving loved ones for their good.

Palak will leave Ritwik.------ based on two time curse😆 Also, Palak mentioned last stage as maut so she is gonna die.😭

I think she is narrating this story to someone in hospital where she is being treated now. I believe at the end Ritwik will get to know truth and find Palak. They will spend some last moments together

I would like to believe Palak is actually telling this story to her grandkids while Rithwik is preparing his dad's recipe Rum Chicken with his sons!!

Palak is narrating it to some curious teenager at airport whie she is waiting for Rithwik to arrive from London.

If the story's end is with Palak's death then I fell bad the most for her mom who has already lost a son, Rithwik would somehow cope up with the loss as he has many other family members but Palak's mom wouldn't be able to this time. I hope death is not the end of this show, they can instead show hope of a new day till the end.
