Yes Om was sad but he didn't want to show it. He also has no valid reason to stop her so he didn't say anything. But he had the decency to thank her for her help. At least he was not arrogant and dismissive.

But I disagree that men are "stronger" than women. No they are not. Women are emotionally stronger but show their "emotions" more readily than men. That too is a sign of "strength" not weakness. Men hide their emotions because they are not strong enough to display them and show their vulnerability. Gauri was fine with showing her sadness and she was strong enough to become vulnerable in front of Om, even if she could face his rejection. Thankfully he was polite and civil.

I loved the scenes though they were truly beautiful.

Even I was SO glad they showed him thinking of his "ChulBul" friendship. That was his connection to Gauri. So far his interactions with Gauri as "Gauri" has been limited. He spent 2 months with ChulBul. So when she was leaving he was feeling that connection with ChulBul and felt sad. He lived those "real" moments between them. But he did think of their Sathiya moment. (The cotton in air scene)

For Gauri he was always Omkara. We saw her thinking of a few of their ChulKara moments as well. I always knew that Chulbul phase would be a very important phase in their story. An unspoken trust that they built between them. I too think it's good that Om didn't try to stop her. Because on what authority is he going to stop her? He said he doesn't accept the marriage. He isn't in love with her. (Not yet). But he IS very strongly emotionally connected to her. That much is true.

Om's eyes did ALL the talking. They even had a "Palat Palat" moment! I watched that scene 3 times. Probably will again, it was amazing.
