We know for years now that Gul likes to show her FL's humiliated, manhandled and insulted by their ML's. She likes to see the woman under the boot of the man. (quite literally sometimes). She has shown her FL's being victimized or abused in some way or the other in all her shows. The worst part is she tries to "sell" that as a romance. A man calling a woman characterless and accusing her of being cheap, selling herself for money, being modern or whatever her ML's accuse them of, is always celebrated by Gul. Then these women are shown running behind these men like they always treated them with so much care! Gul has a twisted mind that enjoys watching other women humiliated. I seriously dont know what her problem is, but she has a big one and needs help. Clearly she thinks there is always some people willing to buy into this, and I guess she is right. But the more mature we become, the less tolerance we have for her crap.

Yes, educated and strong females with self-respect are rarely accepted. They are always seen as arrogant, or self-serving. But when a man is shown the same way, he is strong and confident. The age-old double standard. The woman always has to be sacrificing and subservient. They must always put themselves last and do everything for their husband and his family. That is why even touching the feet of an abuser to save the sister's alliance is shown as a great sacrifice. They think such things make a woman more "feminine". No, it doesn't. It just makes her look like a pushover. Tolerating your insult or making yourself the scapegoat is not the way to show your worthiness. But this is what they do in almost ALL shows. But some shows are worse than others.
This new girl will throw some attitude for a few weeks and then she too will be singing from the same hymnbook as the other two FL's and shown sacrificing herself for the ML and his family. They could not write a decent story for Ishana so chucked her out and now doing the same to Saumya. Don't know why they are still "pretending" like she will be part of the show. Just like they pretended for 2 months that Ishana will come back and then scrapped her, the same will happen with Saumya too. The only difference is, this time no one actually believes she is coming back. At least I don't, coz I know GK and this PH and they are known for treating most actors in a dismissive way. They have done this to many. This time won't be any different.
