Hi,
Haven't written a song fic in a while. But the feels after todays epi is compelling me to get this scene off my head. This is a drabble so don't expect much information. I hope you enjoy!
"Abhi abhi toh aaye ho
Abhi abhi..."
How sweet can venom be and how innocent evil, she had taught him both in these few days. It was the same mehefil, the same people, even the two of them where same for a bystander. But things were different now, the handful of memories between them did so. It reminded him, she hadn't replied that question. Had she married that man? The same man who tried to kill her, the same man from whom he saved her? He had saved her back there right? Or was it all an illusion? Was she having fun at his expense? Her smile was saccharine sweet as she sang those lines, heavily kohl lined eyes lowered sneaking glances under the curtain of those luxurious lashes.
Abhi toh kuch kaha nahi,
Abhi toh kuch suna nahi"
"What is it to you?" She questioned him right back. That moment when their gazes collided he was taken aback. He had seen trillions of emotions flickering in those orbs, they reminded him of closed windows now - simply empty glass, cold and dump after a monsoon of tears. What had made her cry so? And why did he care so much?
Abhi abhi toh aaaye ho
Bahaar ban ke chaaye ho
Hawa sara mehek toh de
Nazar zara mehek toh de
Why is it that their eyes always ended up colliding? Why is it that he always ended up halting her? And now they stood face to face, the silvery lights blurring their senses. Why did she look at him so hungrily - like getting drunk with his features - letting them etch into her memory. Why did everything felt like last time, like their worlds may never cross again and why the hell did it hurt him so much?
Yeh sham dal toh de zara,
Yeh dil sambhal toh le zara
Main todi dher ji toh loon..." She breathed in his ear, as if those words were something beyond the lines of a song. Her hands locked around his neck, she pretended to lure him into a dance, but those eyes - god - they made him feel like he was the reason for her to breathe. Can someone lie so beautifully? Why did he wish, it all turn out to be true, that it turned out he was wrong and she was - really - innocent?
There it was once again. She had made him doubt his mind, made his heart beat as if she was holding it in her open palm. If this was love, kudha kher kare, he was better far from it. Pulling her arms away, he turned to leave. This third class celebrations of Kaali Takur was never his cup of tea. She held his wrist, compelling him to turn around.
"Abhi na jao chod kar
Ke dil abhi bhara nahi..."
