DBO is new , but Omkara isn't. His actions here are governed by whatever happened in IB . Though watching IB would help put his responses in perspective ,you don't even need to do that. Flashbacks of TejVi fights, Jhanvi's suicide attempt are repeatedly shown for the benefit of new viewers whenever Om sees Gauri and is about to take some action related to her .

So it's neither double standards nor hypocrisy but plain and simple misunderstanding . Om isn't aware of Gauri's real story , but we are - familiar with not only HER story but also HIS.

The earlier Om would have given Gauri the benefit of doubt . Take the case of that famous staircase scene with Ishana. He saw "dard" in a random strangers eyes and went and sat beside her to talk to her and comfort her. But this Om is a man in a hurry. All he wanted to do in Bareilley was to quickly sign the deal and rush back to get rid of a dangerous adversary ruining the peace of his home. So a stranger is his last priority.

Om has no plans to tie the knot with swetlana but Om is someone who can do that just to hurt tez and swetlana knows it. Swetlana has different plans which om isn't aware of. Om doesn't plan such things he does it. So looking at the character of Om you never know but this is a show and since there is gauri so obviously

Whats will calling swetlana chachi ki umar ki Ladki? From which angle does swetlana look as his chachi? And heroes are accepted with heroines twenty year younger to them. What s with this calling of thinking!
