In one of the early episodes of IB Shivaay was fighting for his life in a hospital after an attack on him. OmRu are understandably traumatised. Rudy even has a panic attack and Om is forced to step up and take the responsibility of an older brother and calm him down.

At this moment when Om is most vulnerable ,Tej , in a foolish show of extreme insensitivity, tries to force Om to sign papers that would make him the heir to the Oberoi empire in case Shivaay dies. Om is understandably livid and raises his hand to strike his father , but checks himself. This scene is witnessed by Dadi whom reminds Om that he has to respect his father no matter what. But she also berates Tej for his failure as a father and tells him to ponder over why Om is always respectful and considerate to

everyone else except his father.

Thanks for uploading that scene. I had forgotten how powerful that scene was, and Kunal's understated acting in it. He looked so child like those days. He looks much more grown up now. As I was watching that I remembered how well balanced IB was at the start! A full nearly 10 minutes they showed TejKara and Dadi. I hope to see some understated scenes like that between TejKara again. Now their angst is in hyper drive. But that was to be expected.
