Gauri (Sheetal Dabholkar) from Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein on STAR One is going through trying times. Hardly had she handled the shock that her husband Abhishek was Chander's murderer than Alka got him arrested, which led to her hitting the bottle. Gauri shares her thoughts about the recent happenings in her life.
What was your reaction when you found out that Abhishek had murdered Chander?
I was stunned, as I had never expected Abhishek was capable of anything of this sort. I know that he was rude towards Chander, but taking his life? I just couldn't believe it.
I know that Abhishek was wrong, but he is my husband, and it was my duty to fight for him. Dad understood my feelings, and asked me to convince Alka to free Abhishek from jail, but she did not listen. I am not saying that she is wrong because Chander was her husband, and I can understand what a wife goes through when something like this happens to her husband.
I don't deny that justice is important, but even relationships are equally important. Being a wife, I will be partial and say that in this case, relationships are more important. I can do anything to save my husband, Abhishek.
I have known Abhishek since a while now, yet I can't believe that he can be a murderer. I am sure that he must have done it in a fit of anger and not in cold blood. Abhishek needs my support right now so, no, I don't think this incident will affect our relationship.
As I said, her reaction as a wife is understandable. I can't say that she was wrong, so I don't think there will be any change in the relationship that we share.
Abhishek used to get drunk to forget his problem. I took to drinking in the hope that I will be able to connect with Abhishek. I missed him tremendously when he was in jail.
It was more like punishing myself as, somewhere, I felt guilty that I could not save my husband from being arrested. As a wife, it is my duty to protect my husband.
