Alka's father is thinking that he will get vote by doing this. But in reality Alka will win People's love. And that will matter the most.

You know, I think these guys are doing a great job by portraying Mr Tiwari in grey shades...Most people love to think politicians either as corrupt and self serving people or as Mahatmas...I think NT is a bit of both...They have showed him as a caring father who drove all the way to Chander's house to have a glimpse of his daughter in the wake of night...So certainly he is not outrightly a negative character nor is he a philanthropist as well......As an astute politician who is keen to guard his party's reputation at all cost he foresees Abhishek as his natural heir.. But he finds that Alka is instead taking up the mantle which he had reserved for Abhishek...

By the guy 's interview ( Yashwant singh thakur a.k.a. Chander ) , it seems even if chander dies , they are gonna bring him back on public demand or change the story a bit.

Yes the characters of both nityanand and abhishek are very well portrayed, they are neither fully negative or positive, but they have shades of grey...which is what makes them interesting and different from other shows, where an evil person is just pure EVIL and wants to kill everyone

I hope that doesn't happen....because the love stories of the show isnt really what its about, it isnt the best part of the show
