The goats bleated out in desperation and fear and kept running away everytime Alka neared them for a shot as if they were scared to share the same frame as her – we wonder if it was her beauty that shied away goats to be captured along with her.
The actress had to shoot for a dream song sequence with goats but the shot had everyone in splits as the moment Alka came running towards a herd of goats. The scene required her to lift one of the small goats but the ones who stayed back were big ones as the small ones ran away. Alka finally got her acts right but not before couple of retakes.
Remembers Alka, "I had to run down the hill towards this group of cute looking goats and the moment I reached them, they simply used to run away from me, especially the small ones leaving only big ones for me to hold in arms. I had to go back again to the top of the hill which was like a two hundred steps run for me. Again I tried but in vain and I told my director that by no means I will lift the big goat. For the third time, I decide to outsmart the goats. I ran towards them and changed my direction where the little ones were trying to escape for me. I had to play some mind games with them and I won eventually. However, I would like to confess that I was as scared of all of them as they were of me."
Well the actress during the entire dream sequence had the entire crew falling off their chairs of laughing. It was not just seeing her in Indian attire that had him in splits but how the beautiful and vivacious Alka had goats running away from her made them laugh till they cried. She states, "Well seeing me dressed like a complete desi girl had taken them by shock and they just couldn't stop laughing over it. This was followed by chasing-the-goats sequence which seemed to have no end and I am sure my co-actors enjoyed every bit of it."
She might have scared the goats or let's blame her out-of-the-blue Indian avatar had them at bay but Alka is quite an animal person in real life. She had adopted a pug sometime back and named him Don. "I had a pug as my pet who was an attention seeker. She couldn't be handled by anybody but me. Since I kept shuttling from one city to another, I had to give him away to a friend. I do miss him a lot", quips the actress.
Well only if goats knew about this side to her, there would have not been as many retakes. We suggest the production house to shoot the next dream sequence with pugs now.
