I just don't understand why the afternoon shows aren't working for SP? Aren't the afternoon shows made to give at-home women something to watch, and considering the majority audience of indian serials are this very demographic, why are the shows at afternoon slots receiving very little viewership?

Because I feel most of this very demographic does not enjoy sweet, meaningful television anymore. They want garish drama and saas-bahu content wrapped in Naagin or other supernatural fares.

Sorry to butt in...but the times have changed now...earlier many women used to stay at home and watch TV but these days many are working..and those who don't work have their own social circle like clubs or kitty parties...Star Plus should have started all the dophar shows in the early or late prime time slot...all the afternoon shows are very different and beter from the nonsense they are showing in the prime time.
