Monday 17 October - yes, it's late. Very late.
Detailed Update
Kastur comes into the room with the sweetened milk to see Mohan sleeping and taking up the whole bed in the process. She is disappointed and sets the milk on the table. She then feels a cold draft and notices the AC. She looks and sees the remote near Mohan's arm on the bed. She goes to get it, but Mohan shifts his arm and her hand gets stuck underneath. She looks at his sleeping face happily and removes her hand carefully to not disturb his sleep.
Tere Bina Jiya Jayena from Ghar plays and we get a long sequence.
Kastur is now smiling and goes to her suitcase, gets out the Krishna idol and sets it on the table. She then opens up his cupboard and runs her hands along the clothes that are hanging. Then she goes and stares out the window, smiles and looks at Mohan's sleeping face for a long time. She remembers the umbrella and crowded bus moments from the 'date' Baa had sent them on, and Mohan pulling her into a hug in front of her house after his apology. She is still smiling and looking at Mohan periodically, she remembers the SR she had imagined/dreamt, with Mohan removing her jewellery and leaning in for a kiss.
Kastur closes the window, pulls the curtains and walks around the room running her hands through the decorations. She goes to Mohan's shoes, puts her feet in them and is about to walk in them before thinking better of it and taking her feet out of the shoes. She then goes to sofa, with the red bridal shawl wrapped around her and goes to sleep watching Mohan.
End of sequence.
Morning comes and Mohan awakens. He is first first taken back at all the decorations on and around the bed. He gets up stretches, and sees Kastur sleeping on the couch. He looks around for a second as if confused. He looks at her again, notices the AC,and turns it off. He then notices that her arm is falling off the sofa, so he a bit hesitantly puts it back on the sofa and Kastur goes into a sort of shivering position. Mohan goes to the closet to get a blanket and puts it around her and kind of tucks her in. He then grabs his towel off a couch and heads into the bathroom.
A knock is heard on the door. Kastur sleepily asks her mother for a few more minutes, but the knocking gets louder. As Kastur is tossing, her eyes open a bit and it slowly dawns on her where she is. She gets up with a start and sees that the time is eight o' clock. She quickly adjusts her sari pallu a bit and opens the door to see Saroj.
Saroj is pissed. She comes into the room and gives Kastur an earful for not being in the kitchen. She tells her to get ready and quickly come to the kitchen, and before Saroj leaves, she tells Kastur to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Kastur is left alone and wonders how she got up so late and wonders about her alarm clock. As she seems the time going past, she realises she needs to change. She opens Mohan's cupboard only to get a reality check. She takes her suitcase to the bed and starts throwing the various saris on the bed to choose one, and to get her brush out.
She has all her stuff in hand and goes and knocks on the bathroom door. Mohan asks who it is, Kastur answers and says she needs to go to the kitchen. Mohan asks so? Kastur explains she needs to get ready before going to kitchen. Mohan says let him first take a bath and she can come in. Kastur paces restlessly and sees the time pass to past 8:45. She knocks on the door again and asks how much longer he'll take and says it's very important that she get to the kitchen. She says she has to get inside quickly and get ready, and pleads a bit more.
The door opens with Mohan in a towel and covered in soap, as he opens the door, he asks "Kastur, what's your problem." She pushes the door, gets in and locks him out. He is flabbergasted and is at a loss of words and is just short of completing W*F. He knocks and yells "Kastur" and yells something (can't understand what) as Reena comes in.
She is trying not to laugh. Mohan tells her not to laugh and starts complaining that he was first taking a bath, but now she's in there... Reena trying not to laugh tells him that here's no need to explain to her. She yells out to Kastur that everyone is waiting for her and come as quickly as she can. She jokingly teases Mohan and leaves.
Mohan then bangs on the door and yells out if she knows how irritating she is. It's his room, his bathroom...and as he is going on, he notices the bed with the suitcase and the saris all over it. He goes over to the bed and mumbles about privacy, and that on his bed she's... he grabs all the saris, puts into the suitcase and places it on to the sofa in a huff asking himself how he's supposed to tolerate all this. At this time Kastur comes out and he goes to her in a huff. She tells him sorry but it was out of her control/she was helpless. (The word is majboori.) He is just taken back and repeats "majboori?" Kastur just quickly leaves and Mohan is just left there without a venting outlet. He takes the towel she leaves on the sofa by the top of his fingers and looks at it with a face. 😆
Scene goes to Baapji and Bhanu talking about masala, new daughter in law, food and blessings.
Kastur comes down to take his blessings and touch Baapji's feet. He is about to touch her head when he notices she doesn't have her head covered. He looks like he's about to explode. He calls Saroj and tells her Kastur's is new to the house, but she's been in the house for years. Saroj should make Kastur understand all the rules and traditions. Everyone is confused. Baapji then gets to the crux of the matter: in the house the married women don't not cover their heads. He goes on. He tells her to come, and Saroj comes to him from the kitchen.
Baapji tells Saroj to teach Kastur everything. Saroj says yes, and then tells Kastur to come and let's start the cooking.
They enter the kitchen and Saroj tells her first put your pallu over the heard. Kastur does so. Saroj tells her to remember from today on to always wear it in the house. Saroj tells Kastur to choose what she wants to make, Kastur chooses. Saroj asks if Kastur's been taught, or should Saroj teach her. Kastur says she's been taught.
Saroj calls Narmada and tells her she should not help Kastur because that is the tradition. The new DIL should cook it herself. She tells Narmada to leave and do some other work. Saroj then starts getting out all the ingredients needed and puts it in front of Kastur. Saroj explains one or two rules of the house, and repeats about the Pallu. Saroj then again goes on that whatever mistake Kastur does, Saroj will be blamed so take care to follow carefully.
She says some more, but I can't make out the meanings. Saroj leaves. Episode ends on Kastur's face.
Precap - Kastur is on the phone, Saroj cuts the phone and says for all of Kastur's mistakes Baapji blames Saroj and she doesn't like that.
