i kno soapy dat she is really sweet nd innocent, but 4 mohan she is actually bcuming a pain. he has lost his freedom, it seems like dat. i mean he was half naked thrown out, den had 2 eat d porridge nd nw even can't sleep properly. nd here d quetion cums 2 hurt his mom. he has taken d jewels though, but won't want his mom 2 kno nd get hurted. so dat will b d most annoying, wen he already told her 2 not let ne body kno bout d jewellwry thing. 4 a practical boy like mohan, kastur is really tough 2 handle.

The jewellery thing bothers me. This is how the idea of dowry became misused and abused in the first place.

I know that's not how Baa meant it, and they trust Saroj. But giving it to you mother-in-law to keep it safe? 🤢

I dont think we can relate it to the dowry thing because saroj was not interested in them at all ... only when she said my mom used to keep them and here you are like my mom that she took them

@Likarsh...! Strange... But it is believed that new DIL does that... Its kinda thing like they will be more safer with the parents than with you the daughter ! cos the MIL will have safe..& will be safer that way..! Ur new & not used to keeping stuff like that !

No, I wasn't talking about Saroj. Just the fact that Baa even told Kastur to give it to Saroj for safe keeping.

The basic idea is still reinforced. Saroj said I don't need it (which I watched after I wrote that post, but even then I wasn't talking about Saroj). But still the symbolism of the daughter-in-law giving the jewellery (or box) to the mother-in-law is shown. If that makes sense.

Why is it so important for her to even give it to Saroj?
