Ok just finished watching the episode and must say the CVs got Mohan's character right...

The champu who was leaving India is perfect.. bcoz before you leave you own country you can relate to everything and anything there...

The champion who came back... just could not relate to anything around him and he is right... it has nothing to do with what happened in UK and how and why he changed... it is just that you try to blend in the society you start living in... like the saying "When in Rome live like the Romans"! Other people, other cultures, do affect a person... it also has nothing to do with the fact that he had no freedom in India etc!!!

Bcoz you live outside for so long you feel everything around you is right.. and when you come back to the same old culture you do feel.. nothing has changed and nothing will change...

I found all of Mohan's reactions justified...

His mama and mami doing aarti etc.. .not that Mohan has forgotten it or does not like it.. he just feels people would have moved on from that by now.. after all it has been 4 years...

His reaction to the begger was also right.. bcoz thats how you feel.. if the person is young and healthy why cant he/she work, make money and feed him/her self...

So looks like this is the defination of "spoilt brat" Mohan that these CVs have come up with... Kastur and the rest of clan is still in 4 years ago culture and Mohan has moved on and so they feel he is no longer the same...

HC hats off to you for selecting such an interesting character 👏... !!!! So proud to be a fan of yours!

Ditto Gosh i was laughing so much and yet could relate to him this si exactly what happens when u go back after a while The way he reacted was just like yeah Blah and WTH this is exactly how most people behave when they go back. I loved the cultural shocks they got them right

that wastebin one was hilarious that's just like TYPICAL desi thing No one will throw it in the bin but around it and than him going ok just stop this it's awkward is so real and normal. SO props to Cv's and Harshad for playing it to the T

Yea i am glad CVs are finally learning to focus on what sells best 🤣 its good they are working so well on Mohan's character keeping minute details intact and shaping him gradually ... needless to say harshad is nailing mohan's character to perfection already ...

Yup i agree.. with time people move on and things do change but not seeing anything changed significantly with his family or even with the society he is made to feel all is just the same like it was when he had left whereas he has moved on from being a champu to a champion 😆 i really dont see anything wrong in his reaction to the beggar ... you know i dont think it is even typical of any foreign-returned guy only; its a thinking prevalent in people who live here too ... and in a way it is right ... agreed not all are under circumstances to work and earn but practically thinking each one can defo do some work and earn enough for atleast something to eat if not two square meals everyday ... the way HC delivered the dialogues made mohan seem least rude or arrogant to me ... well if this is the spoilt brat they gonna show us then i wont be surprised if i end up getting spoilt and start loving the word "drunkard" (not sure of womaniser yet 😆) all thanks to this spoilt brat mohan 🤣

Yea he has chosen an amazing character and is already portraying it amazingly like always ... May he get his dues through this char and may mohan become one phenomenal character ... God bless him

Well i didn't feel anything was wroing with him tellign taht begger lady to earn and eat caz she was fit and f9 quiete frankly i tell them that too when they r perfectly f9

He was cute. He aced like anyone from a developed country would if they went to india. I love how he was spewing out english like crazy at the very beginning. I was thinking maybe he did go to london and just came back. There's something different about him. I can't tell what it is though.

On a serious note may be ... i mean all this can justify the cultural change in him ... but he went there to study na why did he not study? And what about becoming alcohlic and womanizer? Your theory though right can't justify all of that

Mohan ki melodramatic family dekh kar me bhi thodi se ho gayi 😉🤣

Now the things you have mentioned here... Alcohol... I dont think they will show Mohan being full-tight and falling everywhere bcoz he is drunk. I think they might just show him having a glass or something. Now according to a typical middle-class Indian family this might be bad spoilt son sign.

Womanizer... looking at Mohan's family... if Mohan even talks about girls.. in Baapji's books it is going to be a "crime like murdering someone" know what I mean. A person who is ready to cut off his DIL tongue bcoz she spoke when not spoken to... imagine if he sees Mohan flirting with someone. I think this is what they might show.. like Mohan flirting with girl. And seeing the Kastur they have shown so far.. .she will also think he is making a serious crime

Education... I know the CVs are going to give a stupid reason like "he saw the cham-dham" of UK and lost focus... but honestly not every Uni in UK is good.. they are some Unis which ... I would not want to say "black listed" but apparently fall in that category. A friend of mine went to such uni without doing proper background check. She paid all her father's savings as fees upfront ... spent one year and came back without a degree... so if these CVs show something like that .. it might justify things... but i know that is like expecting alot of these CVs😛.. so if they give a silly reason for this.. .we just have to take it!

hey, new here but not new on the forum!

whilst watching the show...and HC's part...i was surprised to see this show showing something 'real'...im from the UK and when i do go india..initially i hav the same reaction to what HC had...like the beggers thing etc...but then i jus kinda get used to the fact that iv come to india...

anyways...about the reaction HC had to the overspilled bin...the CV's got it wrong...cos u wud see an overspilled bin in the UK or more specifically in London too so HC shouldnt hav been surprised!...lol...so the CV's kinda got it wrong in that case!

anyways...the show is really good...enjoying it...hope it carries on to surprise me...btw i am also gujarati...so loving all the gujarati bits too!

Shabs...I agree... the bin part and also him calling his mother mumzzy or calling his mama and mami as Mr and Mrs... was a bit over the top... but I guess they want to show that he has completely changed... which was really not needed!!!!
