But he and Vidya were going to get a divorce, till the shooting happened. After the shooting happened Vidya refused to leave him. I think, no matter what she saw the care he gave her and got her hopes up. There were hints to this a bunch of times, even after the the Chinu truth got revealed to her. Now it's finally hit her.

Anyway she refused to leave him, and no way Gaurav would take the first step to leave after she got shot, or outright tell her to leave. He left Karan, but she tried to get them back together, but Gaurav refused.

That's what made Gaurav finally think they both have to get out of this. He knew Cheenu was already in love with her. And he's seen how Vidya is relaxed with Cheenu. In no way was he telling Cheenu to make his move, neither was Cheenu going to do it--except hooplah happened, and then he got drunk, and even then we don't know how Cheenu would've gone about it.

In the end, it was wrong and very discomforting. Vidya's not a doll to be passed around, and thought they didn't mean it like that--that's exactly how it comes off. He thought he could get out of it smoothly, with everyone eventually being happy.

Adi is taken back. Cheenu sees him and figures out Gaurav has told him. Priya asks him if he's talked to Gaurav, and he evades the question. Cheenu figures out Aditya hasn't told Priya and they get into it a bit, Cheenu evading Priya chastising. (This happens a number of times regarding till it all blows up in front of Vidya).

Aditya still hasn't told Priya. He takes Gaurav on a bike ride and brings him to a girl's house they both had a crush on in college... not sure why, some kind of hope, maybe. Gaurav tells him he was always forcing himself to fit in, etc etc.

Adi asks Gaurav how long he's known. Gaurav says either 4-5 years, or 5-6 years. Adi realises that means he knew when he married Vidya, and is upset that he would do that.

Gaurav explains that Vidya know knows, and when she first found out she was going tried to kill herself and Devyani was planning on getting a divorce, but then Vidya decides to stay for the family and its honour. (He doesn't mention the shooting.)

In between all this, Aditya also brings up how women like Vidya see their husband, and not anyone else. Going past the marriage is unthinkable to them. (While this is true, Vidya was hoping for a divorce before the shooting. Nevertheless, it is a dhoka to her and her family, which is what he keeps bringing up.)

Aditya is upset with Gaurav, calls Priya and cries. Gaurav comes back and is upset and Vidya tries to console him. Vidya sees Aditya and Priya coming back and overhears Priya telling Aditya she'll fix him something, and then he can tell her what happened with Gaurav and his talk.

Vidya goes to Aditya, and he asks for her forgiveness for what his mother and brother have done to her. She assures him she's happy. He asks how she can be happy, that's why she had left at first, right? She still assures she's happiness and asks him not to tell Priya. (The reason for this varies, She says it's for Gaurav and so he won't fall down in Priya's eyes as he did in Aditya's. But of course in Aditya's eyes, it's because of what they did to Vidya, not because he's gay. Priya would understand why they were afraid of Brahma. An of course, Vidya doesn't know that Gaurav has already fallen in Priya's eyes because of the Cheenu matter. I think she also doesn't want Priya to know because as a woman, it's hard. I mean she sees how much Aditya realises feels for her, imagine how horrible it is for another person to know that you've been leading a sex-less marriage.)

So Aditya agrees. Priya comes, and he evades the question and just says there are some problems and Gaurav thought Cheenu could make her happy. Priya is not convinced, and Aditya just tells her they shouldn't interfere.

Marriage anniversary happens. No one is really happy except Priya, Vidya and Brahma--because now he's gotten an excuse to not announce the divorce. He was just bluffing, but Devyani finally had enough when she saw Brahma and Uttara coming back together from the his work. So she tells him to talk to his lawyer, and he's like 😲. She also tells him to tell the family.

(Priya and Baabuji come to know of the decision. Priya is worried about Aditya's reaction because of all else that's gone on. Babuji is happy. Said Brahma must have done something, and however bad for the first time he did something good cause now Dev has seen the light.)

The party saves him from that.

Aditya is upset and won't join, but Vidya goes and asks him to join or else she'll sit with him. He finally agrees to join.

Uttara gets drunk, but I don't care. Imli forces G and V to dance together and they are uncomfortable. Babuji tells D her children have learnt from her, putting on a face to the word.

Cheenu gets drunk and Priya is worried. Drunk cheenu says he'll profess his love to Vidya. Priya freaks out and goes to call Aditya to stop him. Aditya is somewhere else. Priya finally finds him, and he says he can't do anything. They get into a mini fight, where she asks what's upsetting him and what he's keeping from her. He asks her, you've kept things me from me as well, haven't you.. Priya can't say anything back to that, and leaves to stop Cheenu by herself.

Gaurav gets a call from karan V tells him to answer. Gaurav starts to talk to him, but Karan tells him happy one year anniversary, and that he always hated this day, but now he thinks he should be thankful.

Gaurav is called back into the party by J before he can call back. By this time Cheenu is drunk and tells Vidya he'll tell her everything. Before this, Imi had found out Cheenu loves a girl and she and Vidya started pestering him for it. He finally tells them a little seriously not to ask him, and Vidya is hurt. He feels bad and decides to tell her, but then she says something like, I shouldn't have pushed... and she says it's okay and what not.

Vidya thinks Cheenu's going to tell him who the girl is. Anyway they go up from there to his room. And after some words and dialogues (do I know her, maybe maybe not..etc etc) he hands her a frame.

During this time Priya comes back to the party and sees them both missing, and asks Gaurav. He too sees them missing. Priya leaves in a hurry and freaked out.

So just then the door opens and Priya blurts out--it's not Cheenu's fault, yes he loves you but it's because Gaurav-bhai has told him to, or something like that. Vidya is confused, Cheenu is angry at priya barging in like that and just blurting it out.

She turns the frame around, and it's a mirror--she sees her own face. And then Gaurav's and she drops it and it breaks. Gaurav had followed Priya too.

Vidya first doesn't believe it, and asks him what they are saying. Gaurav confirms it. Vidya gets pissed and ask why this young, innocent boy? And Cheenu of course interjects and says some stuff about how he's not so young or what not and Vidya tells him to be quiet and tells him he has betrayed the friendship. All this time she though he was her friend but really he wanted something else.

She goes to Gaurav and asks if this was the best way to get her out of his life, he tries to explain it was for her happiness. And he's made a mistake, but that's not what his thinking was.

She uses the words "you think you can't love me, so you decide.." Which is one of the examples I mentioned. She's always held out some hope, not matter what. It's natural.

Then after some more words. He says it was for her happiness, something something. She says I know you can't give me those things because... and notices Priya and stops.

She then leaves back to her room with Gaurav following.

Priya is left with Cheenu who's broken down.
