DONTT get me wrong: I LOVE DHARAM VEER...

I always thought that DharamVeer was somewhat like the story of Prophet Musa...
But the Muslim version of the story isn't the same...

THEN I WATCHED THE PRINCE OF EGYPT!!!!!!!!!!! TODAY!!🥱(Dream Works Biblical version of Moses's Story 1998)
I only watched less than half of it but there were many similarities!!!!!!!!
Everything thing from the prophecy, the running away and putting the baby in the river, finding its way right to the queen(however the queen was playing with her son Ramsies.. instead of drowning a dead baby...),
to the boys growing up to becoming best friends, riding horses and breaking the nose of the sphinx...(REMEMBER SOMETHING PEOPLE??) to Ramsies getting blamed even though Moses did all the naughty stuff...
to Moses finding out that his people are the "SLAVES" and stopping them from beating the old guy with a whip(ahem ahem.. remember something??)MESSIAH!!!!...Plus Moses falling in love with a tomboy

Seriously the only difference between the two story lines are that one is animated and the other isn't... and that dharam's dad isn't as evil as the pharoah..and that's why they created Jai Vardan and Agni and there isn't any Haroon. AND THE Miracles....

Our Creatives and directors one day sat down and watched the PRINCE OF EGYPT and decided to make DHARAMVEER...

I don't have a problem with it being like another story.... I just thought it was really funny that some beginning scenes from the movie and show were so alike... I love Prophet Musa's Story... I love Dharam Veer... but I just can't help laughing...
Note: I am not comparing it to the Muslims version of the story but the BIBLICAL Version....
If you guys want to have a look: here's part one on youtube;
the rest you can find on the side bar and watch in high quality....

Its very strange if u didnt know about it. I knew it from the very first episode. I think all the muslims know that the main concept has been taken from Hazrat Moosa's (Prophet Moses) life. I am a muslim and hazrat moosa's story always inspired me so i knew it from the begining. I was eager to see the show b/c of Rajat & Mugdha but when i saw the first epi and told my mother that the concept of the story is taken from Hazrat Moosa's life, she also started to watch it. Anyway "The Prince of Egypt is just a cartoon movie" but if u see "Ten Commandments" then u will see that the sets are also made acc to the movie. Ten Commandments is a very famous movie; all the slaves scenes are copied from there.
As u have pointed out and this topic came up so let me tell u some more facts 😊
"The Prince of Egypt" & "Ten Commandments" are not totally acc to the muslim concept but still the main concept is the same. Movies & cartoons are made acc to the Jews belief. You will be surprised to know that if u go to popular supermarkets for baby shopping like Walmart, Target, Kmart etc; there the baby cottages are called Moses Basket because the story of Moses that his mother put him in a basket is very popular. Just go to google images and type "Moses baskets for babies" and you will see a lot of images. Below is one such link:
I never pointed this thing before b/c only the maseeha concept & slavery part is taken from Hazrat Moosa's life and the rest of the story is different. I diDnt pointed it out b/c i knew that it will turn to a love story and Hazrat Moosa was our Prophet and was/is very respectable for us.
You know the division of River Nile, turning of his stick into a snake, River Nile's water becoming Red is all true acc to Muslim(our) & jewish belief. All this happened in reality. Hazrat Moosa was the only prophet who could speak to Allah and is called "KALEEMALLAH" MEANING "ONE WHO SPEAKS TO ALLAH"
In dharamveer; veer is taken by Maharaja's sister but in actual Hazrat Moosa was taken by Pharoh's wife and he grew up as his son. Pharoah took a test of Moosa to check whether he is an ordinary child or a special one and put a RED HOT coal and a Ruby stone in front of him. He thought that if the child is an extraordinary one then he will take the ruby stone as it is a very precious stone and will not touch the coal thinking it to be hot and harmful for him, but if he is an ordinary kid then he will be attracted by the flaming red color and will touch that and will harm himself. And Allah guided Hazrat Moosa and he took the coal and put it into his mouth due to which he couldnt speak properly and Pharaoh thought that he is an ordinary kid as he couldnt realize that the coal is bad for him. In this way Hazrat Moosa was brought up into the palace of the king who's kingdom he would be destroying when he will grow up. So when he grew up and Allah asked him to go and free his people i.e. the slaves (called Bani Israel---Sharamik of the drama), he asked Allah to grant him permission to take Hazrat Haroon with him b/c he had a very good way of speaking and had a persuasive way too.
One more intereting fact is that Veer is shown as very short tempereed and getting angry very quickly. And Hazrat Moosa also had a short temper.
I think i have told u too much for now; u might not be interested in it but i still wanted to share it with you and group members. I am awaiting your respone, please do reply me.
I AM WAITING FOR THE MUSLIM AS WELL AS NON MUSLIM MEMBERS TO ADD THEIR COMMENTS!!!!

there is no need to say this, i mean whats wrong if it is taken from someone's life?? why r u saying that i love Dharamveer..... but? wouldn't u loved it if u knew that it has been taken from Moses's life. Most of the shows are based on real life's like PRC, Ramayan, The Sword of Tipu Sultan" etc So its ok if it is also based on someone's life 😊😊
But we muslims can never show some normal human being portraying or playing the role of any of our prophet as christians or jews do. We respect our Prophets a lot (as ppl of different religions do) but muslims unlike other religions do not show anyone playing their role. This doesnt mean that i am complaining abt Jews or Christians; everyone have their own belief, i am just informing abt our belief as we've come across a different topic/ dragged from the original topic 😊
Jews & Christian also believe on the same prophets; there are some differences in beliefs otherwise we all believe that Moses(Hazrat Moosa) & Jesus (Hazraat Essa) were the prophets of Allah and many others too.
IF ANY OF THE TEAM MEMBER IS INTERESRED IN STUDYING OR WATCHING ABOUT DIFFERENT RELIGIONS (as i do)THERE'S ONE SUCH POPULAR MOVIE BASED ON ISLAM CALLED "THE MESSAGE". Im telling about this movie b/c it is made by a muslim and he didnt show our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); because muslims will never tolerate this. Many muslims dont like the movie b/c they have shown some ppl playing the roles of some other very respectable muslims called SUHABA (ppl who lived close with our Prophet) in islam. So u can understand the sentiments we have for our respectable Prophets. As im sure all the ppl belonging to diff religions have for their religious ppl 😊
IN THE END THE MESSAGE OF ALL THE RELIGIONS IS SAME: PEACE, LOVE, FORGIVENESS, FRIENDSHIP 😊😊😊
AND THIS IS THE REASON I LOVE OUR FORUM B/C OVER HERE WE ALL BELONG TO DIFF RELIGIONS, NATIONS BUT STILL WE CONSIDER EACH OTHER AS OUR SECOND FAMILY AND RESPECT EACH OTHER, EACH OTHER'S RIGHTS, FEELINGS, RELIGIONS & COUNTRIES 😊😊😊
May our Forum stay alive forever!!!!!!
So... I've found out something really weird....
I don't know how many of you know this...
I always thought that DharamVeer was somewhat like the story of Prophet Musa...

Yes; he was given many miracles........
thanks for replying so fast!
well i cant compare a drama with the life of a prophet. DV is my fav as a drama but i cant take it to be equal to Hazrat Moosa's life. Both are totally differnt and apart from each other......
But DV is my all time favourite 😉
