EXCLUSIVE: Gossip you did not know about Drashti Dhami's sangeet

Television's diva is all set to tie the knot on February 21, 2015

Drashti Dhami and Neeraj Khemka have started off with their wedding ceremonies.The couple had their sangeet ceremony last night at Vivanta Taj President. We had been going in circles to find the location of the sangeet all of last night. Anyway, a little birdie told us that the event was indeed a grand success.

However, there were several things that happened at the wedding that only a few people know about. Our khabru just gave us some gossip, so we thought of sharing it with you.

Apparently, Drashti Dhami's sangeet was sponsored by Neeraj Khemka's father. The bride had apparently booked a small hall for the ceremony, but the in-laws wouldn't have it like that, they wanted a grand ceremony.

Drashti had apparently ordered her manager to keep the media away at all costs. So no one was called to cover the sangeet or any of the other festivities.But it's not that easy to evade the media. When a few journalists reached the venue with cameras, Drashti Dhami hid her face with her dupatta. Her sister-in-law Suhasi Goradia Dhami lashed out at the reporters for trying to get a decent photograph of the would-be bride.

Considering the actress wanted her sangeet to be a national secret - she didn't allow a lot of personal photography either. Apparently, she was ready to pose in the washroom but not anywhere else. A few friends managed to get away with some selfies. After all leaking any pictures from the sangeet would be a breach of national security, right?

The much talked about Drashti Dhami's sangeet' function turned out to be super-rocking affair and surprisingly, there was no twist and turn in this function like a typical daily soap. There was just dancing,drinking and lots of fun.

Drashti tried to keep her wedding functions under wraps but when there is twitter and Facebook, nothing can stop celebrities twitting the pictures.

Drashti's friends Mouni Roy,Sanjeeda Sheikh started tweeting pictures right from the start of the ceremony. An insider from sangeet function at Taj President,Cuff Parade said, "It was just too good. Drashti was dressed in bottle green sari and looked stunning. The function started with the ring ceremony of Drashti and Neeraj and then sangeet' function started around 8pm and it went on till 4am in the morning. Drashti's friends from TV industry Sanaya Irani, Nakul Mehta, Mouni Roy,Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sidhantha Karnick all of them danced on special numbers and made the day special for her. Drashti's sister-in-law,actress Suhasi Dhami took special care of all the guests and was seen running in and out of hotel many times to pick and drop the guests."
