The thing is Mouni and Sonarika has left such an impact that none of the new faces are able to match to that. I think it is fate that the best phases of the show was enjoyed and done by Mouni and Sonarika because even the present storyline is not too appealing.

Both Rubi and Puja where offered the roles of Sati and Parvati but it was not to be but Puja still landed up in the role of Parvati and thank God the most imp phases like Shiv/Parvati vivah, child birth, her rudra avatar, Ashok Sundari childhood, marriages all happened in phase of Sonarika.

They are bringing back Sadhil to do magic because he was brilliant as the little Ganesh just to boost TRP and now Mohit as Hanuman is a good step to bring back lost glory of the show.
I would still want to watch this Ramayan only if Mohit is coming as Hanuman.

rubi is good as actor.. as we are used to see her before in choti bahu and all.. so i am finding it difficult to see as sita..

puja doesnt have any pivotal role to play

i think rubi is doing extremely well as sita 👏and what is this? people are finding her inappropriate bcoz of her weight.😲 c'mon instead of watching her looks why can't people see her acting skills.👍🏼 she is a perfect sita😊

You oldtimer guys, Jyoti is ALSO an oldtimer and hung up on Sonarika (judging from all her awesome CG/PG avis/siggies). Learn from her to keep an open mind like I have kept an open mind for Pooja and Mohit (only by watching these 2 since July end when Rubi made her entry on July 30).
We may not learn from regular soaps. But this one is an epic mythological serial MEANT FOR US MORTAL BEINGS IN KALYUG to learn lessons from and put them into practice, NOT compare compare and compare.
Are we comparing Rubi with anybody? No because she does not need to be compared just like other actors DO NOT need to be compared. Each actor needs to be compared with his/her earlier performances, period.
Hope you guys get it, understand it, esp today on this great India's Independence Day.
Jyoti's sentiments are worth repeating ...

What gets to me even more that you guys are completely ignoring DT Minaxi's warning... I rest my case.

Guys, I dont usually watch serials (Mahadev is truly an exception) and haven't really seen Choti Bahu. But I think Rubina is perfect as Sita, she has such beautiful eyes and a calm smile! Also I think Pooja has an extremely pleasant face too. For some reason I thought Sonarika did not look at all like Gauri (Gauri has always been associated with plenty, (Godess Annapurana) and hence needs a round, plumpy faced actor - in Karnataka we have a habit of fondly calling round faced girls as Gowramma). Cut both of them some slack- both of them seem fine actors to me!

First of all welcome on this elite Forum!🤗
2ndly, for a very new person to be saying this for Rubi-Sita is a testimony in itself, without comparing and with fresh eyes.
Your visual explanation for Pooja also is quite true and hilarious😃
Each actor whether telly or b'wood, work their darndest and actually do the service to millions of viewers all over the world. Least we can do is ... appreciate them, not criticize them.
So yes, "cut both of them some slack" !! 👏⭐️

"to cut someone some slack"

Meaning:
1) To permit someone a degree of flexibility in complying with a schedule, obligation, or deadline

2) To relax the rules

I agree. Ive seen her look much better in previous stuff, but I still cant seem to find her in place as Sita. She has lost a lot of weight on her body, and the innocence that is supposed to be in Sita, as we've seen in previous Ramayans, even the oldest one, is missing. But, this is just me and I wouldnt like to elaborate as I do not want to comment on Rubina's looks or such.

But here's the main thing...

This may also be because I am really confused by the extra focus and such detailed analysis ( and even a little of dragging) of this Ramayan track...Ive seen Ramayan and even read it, but I feel like they are going way overboard with it in Mahadev...I have even started questioning the authenticity of some scenes.

I also think Pooja is fitting in her role very nicely as well. She has a pleasant face, and very good diction at delivering. I think she has even acted in a mythological show before, so she has experience for sure. She looks a little younger to Mohit at first, but I think, Ive come to accept her as Parvati now :)

But in all of this, Let's just remember the effort the entire team & cast are putting into this to make it work and make it click with the viewers...and its working, I'd say :)

I think Rubina's acting is good but she has looked better in her previous shows from what I have seen of her..

As far as Parvati goes for me Sona was Parvati, Annapoorna, Ma Gauri and all aspects this past year when she was in the show it rocked. She was outstanding and that place for me is still vacant in DKDM. I still can't get over her just like Shiv has one face so did Mata Parvati for me.

But I like Rubina and the makers should improve her look.
