\|/ Har Har Mahadev \|/

Sita is doing Gauri puja. Is told, some sadhus have come to Mithila, they haven't had food since some days. She, gets up, goes towards the Shiv Dhanush. A dasi informs King Janak about that. Sita lifts the Shiv Dhanush, is asked not to do so by her dasis. But she goes ahead pulling the thread. Which makes big sound. Making all the Fruits falling from the trees in the Garden. She asks the fruits to be picked up. Janak comes with Sunayana. She asks him not to act angry when he is not. Janak smiles. Sita asks him to forgive her. Sayas there is a special connection with this Shiv Dhanush. He asks her there are so many Dhanush, why do you always pick up this Dhanush only? She answers there is a special connection with this Dhanush. Some Sadhus have come to Mithila, but are hungry since some days. She wanted to arrange Falahaar for them. She puts the Shiv Dhanush back to it's place. Janak with folded hand asks Shivji to forgive Sita for using this Dhanush. Shivji appears, says there is nothing wrong in what Sita did. Except her there is one more person who is capable of lifting this Dhanush. This will help in finding the right match for her. Janak announces Dhanush Yagya.

Rishi Vishwamitra tells Ram & Lakshman, they are invited for Janak's Yagya. Ram expresses his happiness of seeing his Aaradhya's Dhanush.

Sita asks Janak, is it right for a girl to leave everything & go with someone unknown after marriage? Janak explains there will be someone for you, having all the best qualities a person should have. Sita asks, are you sure there is someone like this? Janak answers, some years back even your mother Sunayana, come here leaving her father's place. He asks her to think over her dilemma.

At Kailash Shivji, Parvati are remembering, Ashok Sundari. Shivji says a daughter is Janani too, A daughter is form of a Devi. Where as Sita is Lakshmiji only born to marry Narayan, adds Parvati.

In front of Gauri's idol Sita asks her mother Sunayana, is there really someone who can hold this Shiv Dhanush? Sunayana asks her to respect her father's wish.

Sita tells Janak, she is ready for the Yagya. Janak is happy. Looking at the Dhanush, Sita thinks, this Dhanush is given by Parashuram, waiting for the person, who is capable of holding it.

Here Ram is meditating, opens his eyes. When asked by Lakshman says he feels someone is calling him.

Ram, Lakshman with Rishi Vishwamira are ready to leave the Aashram. Ram tells Lakshman, he feels something auspicious is going to happen. Then I am eagerly waiting for that, answers Lakshman.

Precap: Sita tells Janak, she wants to do Aavahan of Ma Gauri. At Kailash, Shivji tells Ganga, soon she will see Sita & Ram.

At the Gauri Puja, a Brahmin says Gangajal is over. Sita offers to get Gangajal herself. At the bank of Ganga, she puts her bth the hands in water. On the other side Ram too is taking water in the similar manner.

Sita's entry was good. Rubina is well prepared to play this role.
Even king Janak & Sunayana are good.
Ram too looked confident. Both Piyush & Rubina are quite smoothly playing their respective characters. 😊

Thanks for the update Meenakshi.

Yesterday I think the updater said that it looks like Sita is holding a shopping bag when they were showing her holding the dhanush and it did turn out to be true. She did go shopping for fruits. 😉😆 I like this Sita..she is mischievious and does question. She did question her father regarding her marriages plan which is going to be based on the dhanush Yagya and only after her father reassured her giving explanations regarding his decision and also told her that she still has her freedom to make her own decisions, did she take a step back. But she still had doubts which were put to rest by her mother. I liked that scene where she is openly voicing her doubts to the idol of Gauri, who represents universal mother and it was her own mother who came and reassured her. Liked the symbolisms here. I also liked her cusiosity about this man whom her father has explained as her perfect partner. Talking of this "Man" whom Sita's eyes are searching he is also no less. 😉 I mean when Ram was told that Janak is holding a dhanush yagya for the marriage of his daughter and they are going there...Ram does look down but then he tells Rishi Vishwamitra that he will be honoured to see Mahadev's Danush .😉 Jokes aside, I am liking how they are showing the connection between Ram and Sita. Looks like now Shiva and Parvati are going to become cupids for Ram and Sita.😉

I also liked the depiction of the loving daughter-father relationship between Janak and Sita. It was like a normal father-daughter talk with the daughter being mischivious, showing her fears but also knowing her limits and the father patiently listening to is daughter, putting her fears to rest and also not forcing her but letting her know that she does have the choice.

Regarding the introduction of Sita..I liked how they slowly brought her in and focussed on her eyes first. Rubina's eyes are very expressive and that why I liked that shot. Her hindi diction is also very good. Although Rubina is looking very pretty but I wish they could tone down he makeup.I know that she is princess Sita here...I am asking purely for selfish reasons...I like her with little or no makeup.

On the whole enjoyed the episode and I liked the message they imparted to the audience through Shiva and Parvati conversation regarding the importance of daughters.

Mnx, thanks for the update.
Misti, your comments are funny. I liked Rubina a lot though I too wish they would tone down her make up as she looks more pretty with less makeup. Still during the exile she would be shown with minimal makeup. So I am looking forward to that part.
I am actually liking this version of Ramayan. I was also thinking of Surya of Sita strolling with dhanush as a shopping bag. So Misti, as you said it is a shopping wallet for sure. Though I do have questions as to how she could get apples. Is Mithila in Himachal Pradesh? I thought it was in present day Madhya Pradesh.
Ok that aside, I was thinking of one thing. That Sita is so attached to that dhanush. So shouldn't she get mad at Ram for breaking Pinak before even Parshuram does? 😉
But jokes aside, I did like Janak and Sita conversation and Janak giving Sita the freedom to decide about her marriage. Also I liked Sita questioning that how only fulfilling Janak's requirement of bow will make the guy eligible for her.
All in all, a good introduction to Sita.

@misti, to be frank I was never interested in Ramayan because it's a sad story. That was my opinion. Was actually doubtful about this track. But I like this confident independant Sita. Who questions her father & Janak too gives her time to make up her mind.
The connection shown her & Ram is convincing too. I guess I may like this Ramayan.

Mnx, they also never show Ram and Sita as having fun. All TV versions of Ramayan show very stuffy characters. Lakshman is the only one who is ever shown to be having normal human reactions.
That's why I liked this fun loving Sita who is plucking fruits with dhanush. I like this strong version of Sita who questions her father even if respectfully. I too like the connection shown between Ram and Sita. I hope they show more of an equal relationship between Ram and Sita as it must have been between two soulmates rather than Sita worshipping Ram like God.
