I am not liking this New Parvati/ DT Nt pg 6 - Page 5

As you know, I watch DKDM regularly. I would agree with you in toto.But for me the key point is a different one. The new Parvati totally lacks the presence, the regality of the old one.Presence cannot be taught, it is either there or it is not there. With this girl, it is definitely not there.

I am in no way a frantic Sonarika fan, like so many here, in fact I am not anyone's fan. But she was statuesquely beautiful and had the serene, regal dignity needed for playing the ardhangini, the equal other half of the Devon ke Dev. This one looks like his pupil, and when she talks to him, it sounds like a little girl talking to her mentor, not like a wife talking to her husband.

Nor can she project the effortless maternal affection the old one did. This is not going to change, I am afraid, and it will be a definite watering down of the character. In time, I will get used to this new Parvati, but that does not mean I will rate her anywhere near on par with the former , who was really amazingly suited to the role. .

I suppose there must have been very serious problems for them to effect this change right at the top of the cast,but it is very unfortunate that it had to be done.

It is indeed unfortunate and it is there for everyone to see with this replacement and sorry to say new one so far has no screen presence and even when she came in the Parvati look I felt bad for Mohit Raina because he seems to be in a new burden to carry on responsibility of acting of both his and his new co star.
With time hope it improves for the show but sadly everything looks pretty gloomy at the moment.
Like someone stated they could have just scrapped the Parvati character send her to pashchim and carried on with only Mahadev.

I just wish her all the best. She will take time to adjust and she will have to win audience hearts and step into the character soon. Many did not like Sonarika in the beginning but now we cannot imagine anybody else so is the case with Pooja she has stepped in the show very late when Sona is already established herself in the role so will take a lot of time to accustom to Pooja.

Guys I have not watch this serial from the start as i got the channel couple of months ago but first seeing sonarika and mohit together as Parvati and shiv left an impression of good casting even seeing flashbacks of mouni as sati gave the same impression. Even though the actor playing ravana changed I did not miss the actor at all it just felt like a continuation without a hiccup i didnt notice any difference it was flawless transition. New Parvati doesn't give me that feeling she lacks presence, she seemed like a background character but not a lead and the chemistry between mahadev Parvati and Ganesh was flat.

they should have ended parvati chapter by sending her to east... why changing parvati now?

The change is very abrupt very difficult for a new actress to just come and fit in easily even to the best it can be tough.
The audience needs time to adapt. There will be comparisons to the old actress.
The chemistry will have to be worked out by the actors they can spend time and discuss scenes and work them together.
They team and actress both have to work together on this to help this process.

But all said and done it was very bad for the show to have had this replacement at this juncture.

DKDM has been good with casting n Pooja too will overcome the challenge n get on with the role...Sona too had faced initial hiccups before blending beautifully in the show!!

She looks out of place at the moment but will be accepted with time. What the show needs to do is improve on their stores because if they don't than the show will find it very difficult to rise and with the replacement already people are finding good reason to quit.
