Sourabh Raaj Jain has shot to eternal fame with his Krishna avatar in a couple of mythological shows. The tall actor, quite literally at 6'3", visited Vrindavan during Holi to participate at Chandrodaya temple's celebrations to mark Sri Gaura Purnima. Born of Web spoke to the actor about his inspirations, playing the deity on screen and when he is going to be on the big screen.

Now that you have played Lord Krishna, do you have any other iconic character in sight that you wish to bring to life on screen?
I would love to play Rabindranath Tagore. I'm fascinated by his multifaceted life. He was an iconic combination of a painter, composer, lyricist, philosopher and what not. This is strange that Tagore, despite being a tall figure who was a man of many talents in the Indian history, has no screenplay dedicated to him!
What was your takeaway from your character of Lord Krishna?
Smile! I always wondered why Krishna was smiling in all his appearances. I figured out that it is the best way to face tough situations in life. We should just smile and not lose our calm. Ever since I have played Krishna, I have inculcated this quality in me.

How about participating in reality shows?
I would love to feature in reality shows where there's a scope to showcase talent and not my personal life. I can never be a part of shows like Bigg Boss or Splitsvilla. I want to do some dance-based reality show.

When is Bollywood happening?
I wish I get something good soon. I so want it to happen. It's not that I am looking at item numbers with Sunny Leone or any big ticket to the filmdom. I will be very happy to do small roles if they contribute significantly to the stories. I am an artiste and all I want is creative satisfaction.

What's next?
I'm anchoring a show called Bhakton Ki Bhakti me Shakti, to be aired on Life OK. It's a religious show which is based on the real life stories, depicting people's faith in different religions. So far we have shot in Vaishno Devi and Dehradun.
