Note: This is a general post not hinting or attacking anyone in paricular. Its based on my overall experience here on IF. Any resemblance is purely coincidental. Since this is the best forum for such happy and good thoughts im making this post here.

There are so many people in this world who are crazy abt some one or the other. Sometimes its just admiration sometimes a secret crush and sometimes even love. But is all this real? Or is it just infatuation and attraction?

Im sure each and everyone is a fan of some or the other actor/actress. Everyone does admire someone. Now coming to the point when can we say that someone is a true fan?

a true fan is the one who publises that he/she's a fan? NO Is it someone who tries to prove that their favourite is the best while's other's favourites are nothing in front of their's? NO Is it someone who goes to the extent of attacking others, trying to lower the dignity of other actors just to prove that their fav is the best at the expense of hurting hundreds of people.

Its just not limited to crticizing an actor. People go to the extent of bashing and posting derogatory comments on personal lives of actors. It just doesnt stop here. Some even go another step ahead by attacking "rival fan groups" and directly commenting on their personal lives and directly attacking and bashing other members?

Not just that ppl have taken their fights to facebook etc. and now post derogatory comments on each other's walls and indulge in catfights to the extent that they turn bitter enemies. Its just not limited to that too. There are ppl who open "rival actor hate pages" on fb.

What do we achieve after all this? We have wasted tremendous time. Time is very precious.

We could have used this valuable time in studying, reading, praying to lord Mahadev or any other god/goddess for that matter. We could spend quality time with family and friends.

We have wasted precious moments of our lives in hurting ppl. after attacking others can anyone stay happy? Everyone ends up being frustrated jealous and angry.

SO a true fan is the one who not only loves his/her favourites but knows to respect other's favourites and maintains cordial relations with others. Its the one who doesnt try to prov his fav as best at the cost of demeaning others. We dont need to prove to anyone that our actor is the best.

Will ur fav like it if he/she knows that his/her fans are attacking coactors to prove him/her superior? cetainly not.

So lets all love our fav but learn to respect other's at the same time.

I was sitting in the library thinking about the status of fans in the life of a celebrity.. the way they adore, admire their star and sometimes go to different extent when it comes to other celebrity..

i agree to each and every line of this post.. a Fan technically should be the one who appreciates and acts like a critic in the true sense... but it does not give him or her the liberty to derogate some other star... coz at the end of the day.. these celebrities don't even know who we are..

Social media now a days has brought us closer to our icons.. but sometimes I feel that when they try to connect with their fans, the fans become too protective or start bashing.. taking upon themselves the task of establishing superiority of their Favs.. What do we get by doing this..??

Sometimes I feel sorry when fans sort of acts like virtual parents of the celebrities.. My heart actually goes out for the poor stars..😔

I feel that they work hard to entertain us, they have put their real lives on the backburner for their reel lives just for us... and we fans indulge in fights..

It's always good to criticise someone.. but looking at the whole scenario.. and viewing their characters as a whole.. but many see only the negative side and many see only the positive side... Is it so difficult to remain neutral..?? I agree bias can occur, but one should know how to keep such bias under control after all we are human endowed with minds, not some thoughtless bunch of baboons who are fighting for superiority

actually the saddest thing about fan fights is the fact that those who get affected the most arent the fans themselfs but the actors

with social media,actors can read all the things said about them

and cummon-they are only human too much bashing and negativity gets to anyone!

Fans should realize just like how they feel bad when someone bashes thier favorite,someone else too will feel hurt by thier comments

all fan fights are fueled by nothing but Ego-of the fans

its sad that people waste thier lifes on something so unreal and virtual-almost pityful

cos once you fall in this pit of obsession,dillusion and negativity,even you cant come out of it!

I know there is a lot of negativity around-if there is best thing to do is just cut it out of your life

unfollow/unlike/unsubscibe any person/fangroup who tries to instill you and brainwash you and make you as crazy as them-either by joining them or trying to fight back...

Just ignore them-be Anaasakt and free yourself from this worthless Maya

there are much better things in life to think about

i had to cut out a lot of people from my virtual life in order to save my own sanity

and trust me in works

Thank you so much for this post hope who actually needs to practice this gets inspired by reading this. But some ppl won't learn or change. What can we do. If they don't want to grow n utilise their time wisely we cannot do it for them. That's the saddest.

The problem is these are the very people who are the regular offenders who promise to practice this. I don't mean u I mean groups and people who are the ones responsible for initiating fan wars not directly but there is always that light spark which builds to a crescendo.
Fans should be responsible to not hurt sentiments of any actor even the ones they don't like.
It can turn nasty and ugly and ultimately it affects everyone. What u gain is nothing but what u stand to loose is the interaction of these very stars whom u love and idolize.
Nobody likes to be talked badly about critiquing is fine actors need that to hone their talent and acting skills but some critics criticize which has underlying undertones used to hurt or pull down someone whom they dislike which cannot be cloaked for a long time and the reasons for many problems.
All the actors work very hard some get recognized more with minimal talent and some of the best talents go unnoticed who are we to judge and criticize people. Life always comes full circle.
Spreading love is the only thing that will sustain peace and goodness anywhere.

Good post👏

I am fan of the story. Actors comes next. A good story combined with good actors, directed well can give an excellent result.

For me it's a team work. I give credit to all, not a single person. Because a lot of hard work is put by all for what we see on our tv screen & get impressed thinking, it's the actor or actress that should be praised. But it is actually a team work. If any one aspect is weak it shows in the finall result.

So I am fan of this team work.
