Okay, sorry for the late comments, but I just saw both Tuesday's & Wednesday's episodes recorded just now. My comments here on Tuesday's episodes.
First of all, I agree w/ Jalandhar - Narada lacked the etiquette by simply dropping in on them w/o permission. And his statement about all rules coming from god is just hogwash - it was the role of kings (and today, governments) to lay down the laws, and everyone to follow them. Nobody else could just drop into any king's court like that, even if most kings were happy to receive Narada very informally. But not everybody was informal, and if Jalandhar expected a certain protocol to be followed, it was downright rude and uncouth of Narada to come up w/ arguments against it.
The asuras - why didn't they name them? Like is my habit, since they didn't, I will - their names will be Blueasura, Whiteasura, Redasura and Blackasura. In fact, they'll even be inducted into the LPL w/o delay 😆 There you go, Minakshi 😆
On Jalandhar's encounter w/ Varuna, it was actually a father-son moment, but Jalandhar would have done well to have reminded him that he was a deva, and did have a vested interest in who got the wealth of the ocean. Besides, it's not like Vishnu demanded that the asuras forfeit everything - it was the asuras who weren't interested in anything that came out of the ocean except the amrit. Now, by demanding that Indra return everything to the ocean, Jalandhar threatens to undo everything that Vishnu did. It would be funny if he succeeded, since even Lakshmi would have to go back to the ocean, and being unmarried again and available.
So Indra, despite his humiliating debacle at the hands of Jalandhar, just scorns the messenger? There is a cliche in English that 'Those who the gods want to destroy, they first drive mad'. But what if the one that's driven mad is one of the gods himself? Then what?
Anyway, on to last night's episode...
