^^^^ But what is the story of her marriage to Nahusha? Is it the same Nahusha who went after Indra's wife Sachi? It's hard to digest that a daughter of Shiva would have a husband who would ignore her and chase someone else's wife, which is probably a part of the reason why this story doesn't have traction. Not to mention that it doesn't seem to be a part of mainstream Puranas.

There was another daughter of Shiva - this time not from Parvati - named Manasi Devi, who was a badly ignored deity, so she has the reputation of being narcissistic and blessing anybody who simply acknowledges her divine status by worshiping her.

@red vrish it's Manasi or Manasa...bcz acc to Manasamangal Mahadev has a daughter name Manasa n this is not from Mata Parvati..she is the Godess of Snakes...but Devtas never accept her as a Godass bcz only lower cast ppl worship her...she fight for her place in haven n atlast won...she is the Manas Putri(adopted daughter) of Mahadev thats y her name is Manasa..

manasa devi is being worshipped in bengal ..my mother sometimes recites the hymn of manasa which is like a rhyme which she heard from my grandmom..manasa is created from shiv's tej..when shiv was missing parvati and manasa was born on the petals of lotus so she has another name padma...to accompany manasa another deity called netra is created..later manasa loses one of her eye due to parvati's anger and in that story chandika has been showed as vamp who makes every possible obstacles in manasa's way to be a deity of heaven

yeah ur right...Parvati don't like Manasa al all...she always did everything to stop Manasa from being Deity...in this story Parvati is the vamp...n bcz of her Manasa lost her 1 eye...thats Chandradhar called her kani...but thats a mistake...the girl who was created to accompany Manasa is Neti..not Netra...Manasa called her didi...she more known as Neti Dhopani...she cleans the cloths of all Deity...

one confusion is neti also shiv's daughter??then why doesn't she regarded as deity??

btw in sundarban there is a place called netidhopani's ghat..according to manasamangal behula went amravati from neti dhopani's ghat

Actually, there is a Computer operating system under the BSD Unix family of OSs called Mahesha BSD. Manasa Devi is the logo/symbol of these Mahesha BSD projects - there are 3 in all. Incidentally, that was how I first learnt about this goddess.

I heard that Mahadev has several daughters as referred by different region..
As much I know:
Manasa in Bengal,
Ashoka in Gujrat,
Narmada river is also one daughter of Mahadev,
In Durga avater, Parvati has two daughters- Lakshmi and swaraswati.

yeah this is Maa Manasa...aka Padma...she is Mahadev's Manas Putri...n the godess of Snakes...

She does tapas and ask for boon to get a good husband, and she ends up saying the request trice, so god said tathastu thrice as well. hence she married the same guy 3 times, twice in dream and once in reality.

agree👍🏼 but also, i thought narmada was ganga's daughter, and in show, mahadev booned her after the curse of devi that in future ganga's daughter narmada will make her water holy in every year😲.
