hey guys sry for the late but it's time for Jagatdhatri Puja...😳..it's already started...today is Ashthami...in Bengal specialy in Kolkata ppl celebrate this Puja only 1 day n thats Navami but it some other places like Krishnanagar,Chandannagar specialy in Chandannagar ppl celebrate this puja just like Durga Puja...there puja started from Panchami...in Kolkata still many Bonedi family(those families who's living here from 200 or 300 years or more then that..) celebrate this puja just like Durga Puja...to kill Sumbh and Nishumbha Maa Parvati took this Avatar..😳

Happy😃 happy puja for all👍🏼! Puja se yaad aya sumbh nisumb ka dehaant to hua nahi to pher is baar kaunsa wala asur target banega maarne ke liya?!😕

Happy Jagadhatri puja.

I guess people in Bengal don't know that Shumbha & Nishumbha have reformed, and no longer have any aspirations to marry Ambika/Chandi. So no Chanda or Munda either. 😆

On a different note, these pujas should be spread out throughout the year, so that every month, there is a major puja or the other, and the city is always @ a standstill. 😆

the story we heard when were kid is different from this...Mahishasur was the Asur king n S&N is his very imp. men...S&N work under Mahi...so first Maa Durga take the Jagatdhatri Avatar n sit near S&N's place...soldires saw a beautiful women n inform them..they order them to bring that women to them n if she don't want to come then they can use their strangth...after hear this that women challanged S&N for war..she said she made a promise that she will mary that man who will defite her in battlefild...hear this first Nishumbh came to fight..n killed by the women n then Shumbh came n he also killed...then that women take her real form which is Maa Durga form...acc to tithi the day she killed S&N we celebrate Jagatdhatri Puja...n then she killed Mahishashur..acc to tithi the time is Basantkal means spring...the real Durga Puja is known as Basanti Puja...which is celebrate in March...when Shri Ram did the Akal Bodhon...ppl start to celebrate Durga Puja on October...nowdays Basanti Puja is fighting for it's existence..
