Well .Vrish. you might have some prejudice against Vishnu. But those events have already happened... you can't avoid showing them :) So the Time is important. The problem is there are few stories of Shiva and his Parivaar (directly from the main Puranas: out of 18 puranas only 3 puranas are completely dedicated to Lord Shiva) and most are regional stories (like that of Ashok Sundari or Ayyappa (Hari-Hara putra)). You should give credit to DKDM for gathering all those stories together into one serial else no one would have even known of Ashok Sundari for instance. Even the Vishnu Avatars they are showing are not accurate... they are showing it mostly to demonstrate Shiva as Superior... like take Narasimha Avatar for instance... none of the Puranas, except Shiva Puran, have any mention of Sarabeshwara (there are so many Puranas having the story of Narasimha Avatar but none of them mention Sarabeshwara). So this "My God is more Supreme than your God" is the most stupidest argument anyone can get into. Even the Samudra Manthan episode show Shiva being centric. In the actual Puranas the devatas take advice of Vishnu most of the time. So to show Shiva superior they are giving the lines of Vishnu to Shiva to bring him more prominence. But they balance it out by making Vishnu centric in stories Shiva tells to Ashok Sundari (even there its all hotch-potch). Which mythological serial produced in India has ever shown anything accurate??? Most of these stories are modified here and there to bring in more TRP :P These days serials are replacing the Puranas. There was no wikipedia entry for Ashok Sundari and suddenly there is a new wiki page that has cropped up. I can bet there will be more modifications in the days to come and the true effect of Kali Yuga is going to take place (where the Truth is modified to such a great extent that everyone forgets what the actual stories were :P lol)
Never mind the messing up of Vishnu Avatars. We already know most of the Vishnu stories. But they have to show it because its part of the timeline of events that happened. They can't skip it else they risk losing the Vishnu-liking audience and lower TRP. So they are trying to maintain a balance :P lol!
Even the "Aham Brahmasmi" background for Lord Brahma is laughable.. it has nothing to do with Brahma himself. Its a concept propagated by Adi Shankaracharya and not originated from either the Vedas or Puranas.
But still its a well put together serial on Lord Shiva.. lets forget the inaccuracies as they are present in all mythological serials that have been made till date and take only the best from them.
