Hello friends.I am Aditi and i am a huge fan of this show and specially Mohit and Sonarika.All the discussions here are quite interesting and made me to sign up here.

We have seen Shukracharya since the beginning of the show.He has always been a great devotee of Shiva but unfortunately he is in asuras side.I always used to wonder why is Shukracharya in the side of asuras even though he is such a big devotee of Shiva.He never liked Tarakasura's ways and behaviour.He tried to stop him so many times but he never listened to his guru.I always used to wonder why is Shukracharya with Tarakasura even if he has no respect for his guru.

Then i read about Shukracharya.Actually he is not a bad guy.Earlier he used to support the devtas and not asuras but one incident changed his whole life.It so happened that once there was a fierce battle going on between the Devtas and the Asuras.The Devtas overpowered the asuras.The asuras were defeated by the devtas and started running to save their lives.They then went to the ashram of Shukracharya's mother and Rishi Bhrigu's wife,Kavyamata.Kavyamata gave them shelter.

Soon the devtas came rushing in to the ashram and asked Kavyamata to hand over the asuras.Kavya mata did not wanted to hand over the asuras as she felt that they are now her guests and she did not wanted her guests to be in any trouble.

The devtas then went to Vishnu and narrated everything to him.Vishnu alongwith the devtas went to the ashram and politely requested her to hand over the asuras but Kavyamata did not listen to him too.Finally Vishnu had to kill Kavya mata with his sudarshan chakra.Just then,Bhrigu and Shuracharya entered the ashram.Bhrigu cursed Vishnu that he will always have to take human incarnations and in his avatar as Ram,he will be separated from his wife.

Shukracharya got angry with Vishnu and devtas and promised himself that he will always support the asuras and will go against Vishnu and the devtas.

So u see,Shukracharya is the enemy of devtas and specially Vishnu because Vishnu killed his mother.Unfortunately in this show he is in the wrong place.He has no enmity with Shiva,he only has enmity with Vishnu and the devtas

Shukracharya is also a planet a graha, shukra one of the nine planets who control human lives based on their karmas.
It is said that after great tapasya he was blessed by mahadev and given a place in the solar system as Shukra graha.
But in DKDM they don't seem to show that he is a planet devta also!

Hey hi Aditi. Welcome to the forum. Many many many fans of Moharika here😉.
Shukracharya is not bad we all know. I was always confused about whom he is loyal to the asurs or devtas. I did not know his back story. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Shukracharya many times didn't approve of Asura's acts but always guided them well. that was his greatnesss of being a Guru. He is very intelligent, is respected by both Asuras & Devas. he is one of my favourite character.😊

During the Vamana avatar, Lord Vishnu took form of a dwarf and came to the yagna of King Bali and asked for charity of land equal to length of his 3 steps. Shukracharya was present during this ceremony and had recognized the Lord even in his Vamana roop. Lord Vamana asked king Bali to pledge the act of donating the land by taking water from his Kamandalu. Shukracharya understood lord's plan. So he blocked the mouth of Kamandalu by taking a tiny form. When water did'nt come out of the kamandalu, Lord took a twig and inserted it in the mouth of kamandalu which pierced the eye of Shukracharya.

It is why Shukracharya is sometimes shown one eyed.
