Now a days temples are built anywhere ,,all money making rackets .
U will know the difference when u enter a temple that has vibrations.
When u enter very old temples , specially which are entirely made of stone. just standing inside the sanctum makes u feel as if ur in another world.
u can feel it under ur feet. 😊

There is a scientific reasons too. Please read
There are thousands of temples all over India in different size, shape and locations but not all of them are considered to be built the Vedic way. Generally, a temple should be located at a place where earth's magnetic wave path passes through densely. It can be in the outskirts of a town/village or city, or in middle of the dwelling place, or on a hilltop. The essence of visiting a temple is discussed here.

Now, these temples are located strategically at a place where the positive energy is abundantly available from the magnetic and electric wave distributions of north/south pole thrust. The main idol is placed in the core center of the temple, known as "*Garbhagriha*" or *Moolasthanam*. In fact, the temple structure is built after the idol has been placed.

This *Moolasthanam* is where earth's magnetic waves are found to be maximum. We know that there are some copper plates, inscribed with Vedic scripts, buried beneath the Main Idol. What are they really? No, they are not God's / priests' flash cards when they forget the *shlokas*. The copper plate absorbs earth's magnetic waves and radiates it to the surroundings.
Thus a person regularly visiting a temple and walking clockwise around the Main Idol receives the beamed magnetic waves and his body absorbs it. This is a very slow process and a regular visit will let him absorb more of this positive energy. Scientifically, it is the positive energy that we all require to have a healthy life.

First of welcome dear to your forum

Ok so idol worship is no rule in hinduism..its just a practice so that we could focus our thoughts on supreme consciousness...

The truth God loves all and that is human mentality that questions his presence in various form..God takes form in which u see him
Yes god is genderless but than we are humans and comprise of male and female..so mother aspect of god has taken form of goddess and fatherly aspect as god...all the classification and different no of idol have significant message behind them that a true spiritual scholar unveils..
For eg asur are symbolism of body consciousness and deva is our soul (ppl have polluted these characters over period of time by human attributes and the message behind these characters and story is lost) so our five senses can make us do wrong but light of our soul always guide us towards right..

For everyone has right to love god and different religion are just different path of approaching the same..But ppl nowdays are concerned less on destination and more on routes..We humans have tendency of taking our ideals and thoughts as absolute and right thats why different religions in world clash to prove who is right and who is wrong..its not clash of faith but clash of ego..to discover god inside us we have grow beyond worldly norms...God is ultimate reality and there are no complications about him..we for our humanly attitude have complicated this subject...

Goodluck..

@ Baljinder, if I remember correctly, some days back you had posted a pole on what religion the members of this forum belong to.
Let me tell you this show DKDM shows various stories related with Lord Shiva. They never in any way claim to promote the religion. That's why we never discuss about that, only concentrate & discuss on various stories shown in this show.
But since your doubt seems genuine, I'll try to answer it.
The right word to be used is "Sanatana Dharma". Various sects like Shaktas, Shivites, Vaishnavites, fall under Sanatana Dharma.

Sanatana means eternal, never beginning nor ending.
Dharma is from dhri, meaning to hold together, to sustain.
Sanatana Dharma eternally holds All together.

Sanatana Dharma means:
Eternal Path
Never Beginning nor Ending Way
Perennial Philosophy
Universal Tradition
All-Pervading Truth
Natural Flow

By its nature, Sanatana Dharma is:
Experience based rather than belief based.

Swami Rama: The words "religion" and "dharma" denote two entirely different concepts and perspectives. Religion is comprised of rituals, customs, and dogmas surviving on the basis of fear and blind faith. Dharma--a word, unfortunately, with no English equivalent--encapsulates those great laws and disciplines that uphold, sustain, and ultimately lead humanity to the sublime heights of worldly and spiritual glory. Established in the name of God, a religion is an institution that requires a growing number of adherents for its expansion and future existence. A religion discriminates against human beings who do not belong to its particular order and condemns their way of living and being, whereas dharma is eternal, looking for no followers for its propagation. With no discrimination whatsoever, it leads a human being beyond the realms of man-made, institutionalized dictums. Instead of creating fear of God, it makes God manifest in the human heart, not in an anthropomorphic form, but as the absolute and universal One in whom all diversities reside in perfect harmony.

Various sects follows ritual based practise, but their ultimate aim is to attain the Supreme Consciusness by calling it with any name, Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesh, Devi etc.
We believe in cycle of births & rebirths only for one reason that is A soul is covered under Maya. It passes through various stages, creats new Karmas, pays, enjoys for it. This journey continues till it finally realises the Supreme Consciousness & merges with that. That is the final goal, which is called " From Jeeva to Shiv". Here Shiv doesn't mean only Lord Shiv, but it is the unoin of Shiv & Shakti. Because without Shakti(power) Shiv can not operate.
A soul takes many births to realise this state, depending on it's Karmas. Few lucky ones realises it fast with the help of a true Guru or by God's grace.
Among various incarnations of God, only Lord Krishna, had said in clear words in Geeta, "I am God".
Our Spiritual heritage is very rich. If one starts reading & understanding various scriptures, follows them under true guidence, one can surely progress well in life.
Various rituals are only a medium to connect with God. From Sakama to Nishkama Bhakti, Karma makes one free from Karma's accounts.
In ancient times in Guru-Shishya system such knowledge was imparted easily. In todays time very very few have the correct knowledge. Best is to read various scriptures & try to get knowledge yourelf instead of depending on others, who just preach & condemn other's faith.
In the WU/ VU Knowledge archives in this forum some past thread's link is given, you can refer to that to know more.
