I PUT MY QUESTIONS IN BOLD & CAPITAL THIS TIME?
1. HOW MANY 'PURANAS' ARE IN OUR MYTHOLOGY?
2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 'PURANA','SMRITI GRANTHA' AND 'VEDA'?

I AM EXPECTING ANY OF THE TWO QUESTION'S ANSWER.

HERE'S ANOTHER INSCRIPTION-

"AHAMEVA SWAYAMIDAM BADAMI JUSHTAM DEVEVIRUTA MANNUSHEVI:.
YAM YAM KAMAYE TAM TAMUGRAM KRINOMI TAM BRAHMANAM TAMRISHI TAM SUMEDHAM."
"AHAM RUDRAYA DHANURATNOMI BRAHMADBISHE SHARABE HANTABA U.
AHAM JANAY SAMADAM KRINOMYAHAM DYAVAPRITHIVI AVIBESHA."
If the above inscriptions are interprated and translated correctly we may have our answers regarding Tripurasurs.(If i am not wrong Vidyunmali. Tarakaksha and Kamalaksha, the sons of Tarakasur are known as tripurasur as they lived in Tripur.

I have read and seen in many serials that Ganesha is created out of Parvati. So he is called as Gauriputra. Kartikeya is created out of Shivas ansh so he is called as Shivputra.

Mrmrfrevr,

This verse has been taken from Devi Suktam (Rig Veda, tenth Mandala)- There is no special reference to tripa or tripurasur except for one line -Aham rdraya dhanuratanomi brahmadvise sarave hantava u .

The meaning for this line is "I provided the bow string to Rudra in his fight against Brahmin haters"

Do you want a word to word meaning?

@mnx123 I'm sorry if it seem to be rude. I will keep it in my mind surely.
@vaarali I get this inscription from Shree Shree Chandi"s Devi Sukta. The line where it is mentioned that Devi provides the string to Rudra's bow against brahmin haters, the brahmin haters are reffered as Tripurasura.
