Had a question (posted earlier, but post disappeared 😕),,,

A couple of days back with Mahadev and Parvathi returned without thier kid to Kailash...Nandi was looking for "Karthikey". How did he know the name ? Maybe I missed the part when someone reported the naming ceremony to Nandi and the Ganas.

Also, why do they never call him by his other names? I never felt so odd hearing the name Karthikey(an) before. Such is the effect of his depiction 😔 ! Seriously, atleast Parvathi needs to start calling him Skandha !

Everyone has expressed their anguish here so nicely that there is little that I can add to it. I echo the sentiments of the topic creator.

That is what I felt too. I have also heard that Kartikeya was really the most beautiful child.

Here the kid playing Karthikeya was the complete opposite of Karthikeya, just some random kid. Nothing special or wonderful about him. Looked positively rude and reminded me of a little monkey at times

That is okay for somebody else but not Kartikeya..

haha i agree with you but i got scolded to say the kid is not impressive ...but what can i do if the kid doesn't impress me..Karthikeya was a most charming god..hope rushiraj will fulfill my hope

btw though i didn't like the kid but still saying him monkey is not good

Durga's? From the comic, I thought it was Kali's.

But Simhamukha was a sorta Vibheeshan-Kumbhakarana character - advised Surapadman against continuing the war when Taki was slain, and instead suggested making peace w/ him. I think he should have gotten the great prize of being transformed into a beautiful peacock. Or better yet, Karikeya's banner.

So what animal was the vahana that Simhamukha became? And how come Taki didn't get such a deal?

i am a silent reader in this forum and have been following the posts of varaali on Kumara sambhavam and was highly impressed.

Lord Subrahmanya or kartikeya is my Ishta Devata and am a staunch devotee. I teach and preach Tiruppugazh, around 1000 songs comprising and praising Lord Muruga the Repositary of Knowlege and the essense of Vedanta.

I do not watch this serial on a regular basis, but do read the posts especially of Varaali's Kumara sambhavam. but if what varaali says , is true, it is really an atrocious act on the part of the C Vs to hurt the feelings and devotion of Skanda's Bhaktas. He occupies the same place if not more that is adorned by Lord Krishna or Lord Rama or even Lord Shiva in millions of south Indian devotees.

If there is such a misconception and if the authorities fail to appreciate the significance and symbolism behind different aspects (read 'deities' or 'Saguna Brahman' here) of One NirguNa Brahma, how can we stand united and express ourselves against the followers of other faiths?

This is a pertinent question.

i can feel the simmering anger in the heart of varaali when I read the post. It instantly caught me too.

cool down varali. Lord karthikeya can never be murdered by the ignorants, for He is Knowledge personnified.
