They should have shown Ganga flooding Jahnu's ashram, Jahnu rishi drinking Ganga and then releasing her from his ears. That incident gave Ganga the name Jahnavi.

I was thinking the same thing - Ganga flooding Rishi Jhanu's ashram should have been shown along with Rishi Agasthya drinking off the ocean to help the Devas.

None of the background stories were shown - be it Agastya drinking the ocean nor the original reason why Bhageerath's ancestors were in a pile of ashes. In fact, the way they depicted this story was really lame. And showing it this early - was it so that they can end Ganga's role in the serial and free up Deepika Upadhyay? In which case, they need not have introduced her w/ Himavan & Mena, but could have brought her in much much later.

Thanks for the fab update Sia! Caught the end of the episode and was impressed that they used the show as a platform to urge the clean-up of the Ganga. 👏

i dont know why Gangas track was sooo rushed-it seemed really hurried..😕

maybe they had thier reasons but im failing to understand why...

even though the effects were thankfully not tacky...i still feel they rushed up her track...although i must admit the last part where they emphasized on the protection of Ganga was heart warming,and nice-of how we should not abuse the gift that Mahadev gave us!...i guess the reason why they didnt show the side stories is because they wanted to concentrate on Mahadev's contribution in the story only...

regarding Mahadev and Parvati,im guessing they will show thier wedding within the Shravan month itself-by august...they cant possibly wait till Mahashivratri to show such an event...

i guess we are used to the cvs stretching the story for the Sati phase,

but its kinda funny that Sati had to wait for over 6 months to marry Mahadev and Parvati is almost going to get married to him in barely 2 months🤣,when ideally it should have been the other way round!but in a way im happy they didnt put in too much masala or fiction and kept the Divinity of the Parvati Tapasya intact!

i liked the aparna sequence in the episode too😳

regarding Mahadevs story-his leela is endless,they can still have stories to show...considering that Parvati is the main lead they may show Durga Maa as well...lets just wait and watch...there are lots of stories of Mahadev!!

I really thought this week would be dedicated to Ganga's descent! But looks like they wrapped it up in the first few mins of the show! 😕 I hope they're not rushing because they want to wind up the show. I will be devastated 😭...trying not to think of it! But as you say, maybe they will go slow on the post-marriage life of Mahadev and Parvati! fingers crossed! As long as they stay on our screens for a long long time...

@mira-Life Ok is not so dumb that they will shut down thier top rated show...i guess the reason why Ganga wasnt given so much emphasis is beacuse Mayabe they wanted to glorify only Mahadevs contribution(as it genrally happens in Mythos)
