Well,no matter what people say,i will always believe that all Gods are equal.😊Call it anything,School teachings or politicians teachings(nowadays politicians are trying to divide our country on the basis of caste and religion and are completely against equality😆),i respect others opinions and expect the same from others too.Let people differentiate among Gods, let people say Shiv is different,Vishnu is different, etc.these things will never change my opinion.😊I only gave my opinion and i did not at all try to prove my opinion as a universal truth.Everybody is free to give their opinions in this public forum.😊Shiv Puran states Shiv is more important than other Gods.Vishnu Puran states Vishnu is more important than other Gods. Each puran gives more importance to it's respective deity.Followers of these purans therefore come into these conclusion that their fav.Gods are more important than others.

1) Its not about who is important, i was only bringing about difference in traditions and philosophy
which most of the people ignore.

2) Main reason to bring out the difference was, people were applying avatar concept to mata parvati, which you cannot, if i did not raise objection to it may be the wrong message will go down to the first timers.

3) There is a certain way to understand scriptures, you cannot apply laws of physics in chemistry
can you? does that make physics inferior. the case at point here is similar.

Krishna

The 'all are one' statement is taught in schools and also by politicians and godmen, but they are not in the religious texts of any religion. How can they be? When the Vedas & Puranas were written, how can they have anything about Moses? Biblical and Quranic texts very specifically allude to the denial of 'false gods'. This is not an attack on any of them, but it does disprove the claims made above that the 'all are one' school of thought, as promoted by contemporary society is actually based on any religion.

Like Krishna said above, anybody is at liberty to believe what one wishes. But please don't claim, as the absolute truth, something that is not there in the scriptures, and is only the oral or written belief of modern philosophers/saints/godmen/politicians/actors/social workers/what have you.

Also, stating that they are all different does not imply supremacy of any one of them over any of the others.

How about (Rigveda 1:164:46) "Ekam sat vipra bahudha vadanti"

or

"They have called him Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni,
And the divine fine-winged Garuda;
They speak of Indra, Yama, Matrarisvan:
The One Being sages call by many names."
Hinduism. Rig Veda 1.164.46

[This was written probably when there were no other religions known to them.]

or any of the instances cited from religious texts here - - http://www.theharmonyproject.org/resources_truth.html

So got the approval, so i am going ahead

1) The quote mentioned in Rigveda is eternal truth and there can be no two opinions about it.
i agree with you up to that extent ( at least according to me).

2) Can you find a similar statement from any other scripture( outside vedas and upanishads) , if you cannot find it then you have to agree that traditions differ from each other.

3) Moreover the discussion here is about the nature of that one truth and not the multiplicity of truths. That one truth is different for different traditions.

Krishna

Its not about who is right its about debate where there is exchange of ideas and enhancement of knowledge if done in a right manner.

Krishna pls u are right get we get over this...??? If we tried to continue than every can present hundreds of logics and proof to support their own opinion...I respect ur opinion..as we live in this world and society we do follow our traditions..that prarctical...But my belief or sumone's belief is about god not society...and its better if limit are belief to ourselves..how much i try to make u believe or u try to make me believe..we are still going to follow what we consider correct..So whats the point in arguing...
