Ok..so der is dis buk i really love.. dis really famous book called "the immortals of meluha"-the shiva trilogy by Amish.I had read dis buk bfore mahadev had strtd..n so i got a bit confused with wats real n wats not.

So,the book does have some fiction included in it.But im not sure to what extent.N plus,to add to my confusion, the show has also included some fiction 😛 (im not complaining.i love the show no matter what 😳)

I dunno if anyone of you have read the buk,but neways.

I want to know the actual story.

So,in the book it has been shown that Daksh wasn't against Shiv.(the reason for this is whole other story.in the book, its told that shiva was supposed to save Daksh's empire according to fortune tellers back then etc.neways thats not my question :p)

Daksh infact was really good to Shiv, but instead Daksh's senapati,Parvateshwar was kind of skeptical about Shiv.

Sati was Daksh's daughter

Ok,so thats doubt one :Daksh was against Shiv right?

Second doubt,in the show so far, they haven't mentioned Parvateshwar, have they?
(I was under the impression ki Parvati would somehow bi Parvateshwar's daughter when i had just come across this name in the buk 😆

Doubt three,in the book, they've shown that Shiv s attracted to Sati first 😳 (that's what i intepreted),but in the show,it was shown vice versa (again im interpreting)

Anyways,i had read the book long ago,so rememberd half half, strtd reading again,i have reached till the part where Shiv strts getting attracted to Sati 😃

N these three doubts occured to me

Help anyone?

I have heard of the books. I myself am afraid to pick them up because it does not sit well with me when fact and fiction are mixed together. I know its fiction but still...I have something against mixing the two together. As for your doubts, the show did keep true to the mythology for the most part, it's just that they messed around with the minor details and we as the viewers sort of highlighted the messed up parts.

Doubt #1: Yes, Daksh hated Mahadev/ was against him, that's why neither Mahadev and Sati were invited to the yagna which resulted in Sati giving up her body.

Doubt#2: I don't think (correct me if I am wrong) someone named Parvateshwar existed (I think he is the figment of author's imagination cause its fiction so anything can happen). Even if he existed, he was not a major character cause I seriously never came across his name before.

Doubt#3:I personally believe that both of them were attracted to each other at the same time. It's just that Mahadev was in denial while Sati was not.

P.S.: The books are fiction and written with the author's imagination so he can change around a lot of stuff. So, don't believe what he has written.

Hope this helps😊

not many ppl know about shiv-sati story.i guess most people know only this thing that sati was daughter of daksh and wife of shiv and she gave up her life after daksh insulted shiv.
so people are just interpreting their own thigs, using their own imagination to make up a beautiful love story of shiv-sati.
Regarding ur doubt#1,i read in some stories that daksh had no problems in getting shiv married to sati and in some books i read he had problem.again, people's interpretation.some books say he got angry with shiv before sati's marriage to him and some books say, after the marriage.it's really confusing.
Regarding ur doubt#2,they showed one minister who was very loyal to daksh and always supported him.i think his name was parvateshwar but his role was not so important.all he did was just follow the orders of daksh.he didn't do anything to create more hatred for shiv in the heart of daksh.later,he simply disappeared from the show.
Both, shiv and sati got attracted to each other.in the show too, whenever shiv would look at sati,he would give a sweet smile to her and then disappear but he never expressed his feelings to her.

Oh i jst love dis book nd bout ur doubts #1-u'v only read Immortals of Meluha nd dere Daksh is totally different frm wat dkdm showed bt if u'l read its sequel Secret of The Nagas dere u'l get 2 know dat Daksh was polite 2 Neelkanth only fr his own purpose n dere also Daksh insulted Shiva and Sati got vry vry angry evn she takes out a knife to charge on Daksh!!u'l get many similarities wid Dkdm in Secret of d Nagas n bout Parvateswar i dn't know:p :) n #3 though here in d Immortals of Meluha Shiva was d 1st 2 get attractd by Sati nd immediately fall in love!! Bt in d chapter "Sati and the fire arrow" u'l get 2 know dat evn Sati hd also fallen in love wid Shiva bt cudn't confess becoz of vikarma law n d main fact is Shiva and Sati r meant 2 be 2gether so it doesn't matter who get attracktd first :-):-D

Immortals of Meluha is a fiction...The writer has taken characters from Indian Mythology and created a story...Its no way related to the religious stories we have in Purans and upnishands...like foreign writers create stories with characters from Greek and roman mythology...
So dont be confused by it...
In Immortal series they dont have Parvati and Sati as separate characters...They r both names of same person...in the 1st book Daksh has mentioned Sati is also known as Parvati.
Its a brilliant book...enjoy it as a fiction not as a religious story.

Other very important thing which is very wrong in the books from what i have heard is, Sati is depicted as widow before shiv before marrying. for that reason i have never read those books and will never read them. even though i am very ardent fan of fiction

Its not a religious story...its not based on actual shiva and sati...they have just taken names and character from Indian mythology...its beautifully written book... And besided whats wrong if sati is depicted as widow ?? Do read it ur missing a great novel.

@bold i really don't understand your question what's wrong?. Sati for me is Goddess Durga
Parvati,Shakti and Prakriti obviously i cannot expect her to be wife of any other besides Shiva.
For me they are Mata Pita ( Shiv and Shakti) so i can never tolerate ( even in fiction ) such depiction.
