Well they showed a specific scene two episodes ago where Mahadev assumed human form. So I guess they want to show him as a complete human during this phase. The problem is that he also still has supernatural powers (his strength, the fact that he beat the ground and water started flowing out, etc). It's like they want to have their cake and eat it too. š¤
Is it just me? B'cos I've never known Mahadev to take a human avatar, unlike Narayan. Which Purana has it that Mahadev ever took a human avatar?

Its not Unusual for Mahadev to took a human form ,Lot of Temples are having various stories ,that devotees helped by Shivji ,directly in this or that Human form ,The only difference is He will disguise himself as a human for a short period ,unlike vishnu ,who will descend on earth a lifetime which is called as Avator .BUt our show is over dramatizing him thats not true

Described in a book called PeriyaPuranam (translates something like Mahapuraan if I'm right) written by Sekizhaar are the stories of how Lord Shiva tested the 63 Naayanmaars (Saiva Saints).
Lord Shiva has taken human forms to test them.
I recall one story where Lord Shiva took the form of a baby boy and was adopted and raised by Thiruvenkaadaar (Pattinathaar) and his wife Sivakalai. I'll post the full story if required.
