ok divyanka is a nice choice tbh...but lets c how the things go...well lets hopefor best..but i think from the other choices she is far better

i too feel dat she will look older 2 mohit but let's see,i guess it's too early 2 say whether she suits da role or not.if da makers hv cast her den surely dere must be something in her.i used 2 watch her show "banu main teri dulhan"and i feel she is a good actress.i guess parvati's role will be da most challenging role of her career.

I loved Mouni as Sati but if the rumour is true and Divyanka is the actress chosen to be Parvati then I will be so happy.

Divyanka used to come in Banoo Main Teri Dulhan on Zee and seriously she was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Like seriously. I think she would really do justice to the role! :) & her and Mohit would amazing together. They would have good chemistry for sure <3

No one thought Mouni would fit the role of Sati when articles about her first came out, yet they love her now, so I think people shouldn't judge until they actually see her.

We actually don't know how actors or actresses will look in mytho roles until they have the make-up and costumes on and start acting, but character-wise, Devi Parvathi is not like Sati. She is more like the character of Mata Lakshmi, and yes she was more the docile wife than Sati was, but then again, for what reason would she have the flare up? Raja Himavan was a good father who respected Lord Shiva, so Parvathi could be proud of him unlike Sati, whose father humiliated her.

Some who has a motherly countenance should be chosen for the character of Devi Parvathi.

^ So well said Janaki :) A lot of people didn't like even Mohit doing Mahadev's role and now they are raving how he is possibly the best that they have seen! I think we should let the directors choose, everyone has their own view and this the PH choice so we should let them choose and accept it! I am sure they know what they are doing. :)

had mansi parekh not been doing theatre , i would have suggested her name as parvati. She is a amazing actress, and stunngly pretty and can play girlie or mature depending upon situation perfectly. However she probably doesn't have dancing skill.

But what i remember, parvati does not really show much of dancing skill, may be we can replace dancing with singing? Either way both of them are the Gods of music and dance .

Another actress was the one who played parvati in the initial days of 9x devi show, sorry forgot name of the show. She was good looking and was convincing too.
